A maternity tour with a team member from the Maternal Child division is available for a small group. RSVP is required. To reserve a spot, call (516) 626-3729. Before the tour, meet a member of the Maternal Child division in the Main Lobby of Mercy Hospital. Attendance is limited to six people in total, with up to two people per couple. Spanish is spoken.

School of Rock Queens brings its Summer 2026 Seasonal Showcase to Bellmore Movies & Showplace, highlighting performers ages 7 through adult as they share what they have prepared after a season of group rehearsals and individual lessons. At Wantagh Park, the Long Island Walk N’ Roll brings together families, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and community members to champion the National Ataxia Foundation’s mission to speed the development of treatments and improve the lives of people living with Ataxia. Participants can form teams or donate to support the cause, creating a welcoming community experience centered on movement and solidarity.

The New York brain tumor community will gather for a family-friendly walk that raises awareness and funds to support patients and their families. The day centers on celebration, remembrance, and hope. Registration includes options for adults and for youth ages 12 and under, with fees that increase as the event nears and again during event week. In-person participants who register by the stated deadline receive an event t-shirt, while availability is limited for later signups. A free virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person, and qualifying virtual participants who raise at least $75 by the deadline will have a shirt mailed to them. On-site check-in and t-shirt pickup will be available along with mission-focused activities, and contactless registration will be offered for anyone who misses online registration. The schedule features a remembrance gathering at Zach’s Bay beach, an opening ceremony, and the walk itself. The route covers about 3 miles. The event takes place rain or shine, on-site parking is available, and light refreshments will be provided. Be sure to explore the activity tents and sponsor areas during the event.

At Wantagh High School, the Gary Sinise Foundation presents the Wantagh Warrior 9/11 Memorial 5K, a run and walk covering 5K through the streets of Wantagh. Younger children can take part in a 400 meter dash designed for them.
