Now in its 44th year, the Roosa Gap Roller Coaster Runs feature a challenging 11.8 mile run alongside a 5K run or walk in Wurtsboro, NY. The 11.8 mile route begins at the Mamakating First Aid and Rescue Squad, climbs toward Bloomingburg, passes through a hairpin turn, then makes a left at the summit onto Shawanga Lodge Road and continues toward the fire tower before reversing along the same course to the finish. For safety reasons, the longer race uses an adjusted road course again this year due to ongoing drainage issues, rather than the traditional trail route. The 5K offers a flat out and back along the historic D&H Canal Tow Path with scenic views. Blending confession with a sharp send-up of wellness culture, Walker traces her journey from eager yoga student to viral entrepreneur to so-called belonging expert, then exposes the gap between performing wisdom and living honestly. The story unfolds around an unguarded podcast interview, moving between past and present as she faces a teacher who exploited her search for meaning, the media engine that packaged her irreverence, and the ways she turned pain into performance. Through a gallery of characters, she challenges the habit of giving away agency to anyone promising the way, and asks what it might take to let go of the performance and speak the truth underneath it. Walker is a speaker, author, and performance artist known for work that sparks connection, and she previously founded Drunk Yoga, which later evolved into The Uplift Center, a studio focused on social wellness experiences and trainings. Produced by multi-hyphenate artist Alex Kunz and directed by Erin McGuff-Pennington, whose storytelling centers complex female perspectives, this production is co-presented by Broadway in Beacon and St. Rita's Music Room.

Other classes explore soil fundamentals and sustainable practices, planning and caring for a productive vegetable garden, and adding fruit to the backyard, from apples and pears to pawpaws, serviceberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Composting is covered with guidance on what and where to compost, practical bin ideas, and vermicomposting.
