The Music for Humanity series offers a concert on the second Friday night of each month, highlighting outstanding performers from the Hudson Valley and beyond. October features Elly Wininger, a NY Blues Hall of Fame inductee whose album The Blues Never End, with the award-winning song Right Kind of Trouble, held the number one spot on the Roots Music Report’s acoustic blues chart for four weeks and remained in the top six for more than four months, with all 13 tracks appearing in the top 25 at one point. The album was nominated for an Independent Blues Award for Best Acoustic Blues Album. This summer she won the Solo/Duo Competition at the Hudson Valley Blues Society and will go to Memphis for the International Blues Competition this winter. Her earlier release Little Red Wagon reached number 8 on the Folk Music DJ Chart for January 2018 and finished in that year’s top 100. There is no cover charge. Free will donations support the artist and MFH, and those unable to contribute may attend at no cost. A video of the performance will be shared the following week. The concert takes place at The Common Good in Ellenville, NY.
