    A nostalgic celebration of the singles that ruled the airwaves brings together The Lovin’ Spoonful, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and Terry Sylvester of The Hollies. The Lovin’ Spoonful, often called the American Beatles while taking on the British Invasion, sent their first seven releases into the Billboard Top 10 and are associated with favorites like Daydream, You Didn’t Have To Be So Nice, Summer in the City, Do You Believe in Magic, Darlin’ Be Home Soon, Nashville Cats, Rain on the Roof, Younger Girl, Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind, Six O’Clock, and She’s Still a Mystery. Gary Lewis and the Playboys were discovered in 1964 by producer Snuff Garrett, teamed with arranger Leon Russell, and quickly scored hits, with This Diamond Ring reaching number one and Count Me In peaking at number two, followed by Save Your Heart for Me, Everybody Loves a Clown, She’s Just My Style, and Sure Gonna Miss Her. Terry Sylvester joined The Hollies in 1968 after Graham Nash’s departure and contributed to worldwide hits including Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother, Sorry Suzanne, and The Air That I Breathe. He is among five Liverpool musicians in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside John, Paul, George, and Ringo, and he and The Hollies were inducted in 2010.
