Seven years of playing bars, backyards, and basements across the country have honed their crowd-pleasing sound. The band recorded its third studio album, Dungarees, live to tape on a vintage four track at Business District Recording in Johnson City, capturing the feel of late nights onstage and long miles together. Presented by Jubilee Homes, this free community concert series brings live music, family activities, and neighborhood spirit to Spirit of Jubilee Park all summer. Each Showcase Sundays event highlights local and regional talent across R&B, soul, gospel, and more, with food trucks, bouncy houses, face painting, and other family friendly fun available throughout. Get ready for labor, birth, and the early days with a newborn in a welcoming, in-person classroom setting. These free sessions are recommended for pregnant patients who are 28 weeks or more, and partners or other support people are welcome. Registration is recommended but not required, and drop-ins are welcome. Participants may bring water and snacks. The program follows a four-part, monthly rotation. One class focuses on preparing for the final weeks of pregnancy, recognizing the start of labor, and what to expect upon arrival at the hospital. Another explores the birth process, comfort techniques, partner support, vaginal birth, and the first moments of recovery. A third session reviews common medical interventions, induction, and cesarean birth, with a tour of the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units. The final class centers on the transition after birth, newborn care, mood changes, and foundational breastfeeding guidance. The sequence runs during the first four Tuesdays of each month... if a month includes an extra Tuesday, there is no class that week, and the rotation restarts on the first Tuesday. Sessions take place at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital in the L100A DeFuria Room. Attendees are encouraged to bring a support person and the spiral-bound education book provided by their OB office titled Your Guide to Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting.

Hanover Thursdays returns to Hanover Square with a free outdoor show featuring Double Tiger with opening support from the Emanuel Washington Project. Double Tiger brings a live reggae set that blends sound system traditions with contemporary roots, led by vocalist Jay Spake of Analogue Sons. Emanuel Washington, known for work with Sophistafunk and Skunk City, steps out front as lead singer with an original mix of R&B, funk, and hip hop. The music gets rolling with Joey D spinning classic tracks to set the groove, then the opener takes the stage, and the headlining band closes the night. Local artisans and restaurants add to the experience, and street closures help transform the square into a hub for music, art, food, and more.
