Presented by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse with Community Bank, Inc. as presenting sponsor and the Onondaga County Agriculture Council as supporting sponsor, the Downtown Syracuse Farmers Market brings together local vendors offering fresh produce, seasonal vegetables, fruits, baked goods, flowers, plants, and more. Each week, shoppers can also take in live entertainment as part of the Lunchtime Live Music Series.

This weekly in-person support group is for survivors of domestic violence who are past the immediate crisis and continuing their healing journey. Conversations focus on navigating triggers and stress, exploring identity, and supporting personal growth while rebuilding life in the aftermath of abuse. Get ready for labor, birth, and the early days with a new baby in a supportive in-person setting. These classes are intended for pregnant patients along with partners or other support people, and are especially helpful from about 28 weeks onward. The series features four core topics that repeat on a monthly rotation. One session focuses on the final weeks of pregnancy, recognizing the start of labor, and what to expect when arriving at the hospital. Another explores the birth process in depth, comfort techniques, ways a partner can help, and immediate recovery after delivery. A third session discusses common medical interventions, inductions, and cesarean birth, and includes a guided look at the labor and delivery and postpartum units. The final class centers on the early postpartum transition, newborn care, mood changes, and breastfeeding education. Participation is free. Registration is optional, and you can attend without signing up in advance. You are welcome to bring water and snacks. The classes are offered in a flexible, drop-in format, so you can attend any topic at any time based on your schedule, transportation, or child care needs. Bringing a support person is encouraged, as is the spiral-bound five chapter education booklet provided by your OB office early in pregnancy.

Westcott Community Center hosts a lively community farmers market featuring fresh, locally grown and made products from area vendors. Shop from familiar names like Southwick, Brady Farm, and Bonita’s Good Stuff, and meet new vendors including Syracuse Honey and Mom’s Diner. The market runs each week, rain or shine, with a mix of produce, honey, homemade goods, and delicious food. It offers an easy way to support local farmers and makers while connecting with the neighborhood.

Enjoy a free, in-person game show built around survey questions. Compete on your own or team up with others to predict the most common answers, in the spirit of a classic survey-based TV challenge, with no need to arrive as a family team. The fun happens at Electrik Karma on the mall’s third floor, just upstairs from The Cheesecake Factory.

An annual neighborhood celebration that highlights the diversity and character of Westcott. The fair welcomes everyone with culture and the arts, a variety of food, community organizations, and fun activities. A parade opens the festivities, followed by an art, food, and music festival spread along Westcott Street from Concord to Dell and onto nearby side streets. It is family friendly, offers something for all ages, and provides an easy way to see familiar faces while making new connections.
