The checkup takes place in the UHS Gastroenterology/Dr. Ramanujan Parking Lot. No appointment is necessary. Expect complimentary seat inspections, guidance on proper installation and daily use, education on selecting restraints that fit a child's age and size, and individualized recommendations. Technicians are nationally certified through Safe Kids Worldwide, and approximately 10 UHS staff members hold this credential. Whether fitting a seat for the first time or moving to the next stage, this event offers practical reassurance with each inspection.

Shepherd Supper at Central United Methodist Church in Endicott NY offers a free hot takeout meal for anyone in the community who needs one. For more than 30 years, this effort has provided nourishment and care for neighbors. Each week, dedicated volunteers prepare and distribute meals, sometimes serving over 200. Along with food, guests can find connection and support. Everyone is welcome, and there is space for all.

Once there, participants can decorate pumpkins to look like jack o lanterns and enter a friendly painting contest. The excitement continues with Pumpkin Chunkin powered by a giant catapult, plus pumpkin races and pumpkin bowling, along with additional seasonal activities. A mix of storytelling, hands on crafts, and playful competition sets a warm tone for welcoming autumn.

This unscripted comedy show from Puzzled Players Comedy Improv Theater uses audience suggestions to spark scenes, and nothing is preplanned. The long-form team Expansion Pack brings quick-thinking creativity and off-the-cuff storytelling, so each performance unfolds differently. Held on the second and fourth Friday of the month, tickets are $15, with free lighted parking and affordable snacks.

A record-setting celebration of puzzles takes center stage with three ambitious attempts. The goals are to form a massive human jigsaw piece, gather the most signatures on a puzzle, and complete an unsorted 40,000 piece Ravensburger puzzle in under eight hours. For the human jigsaw, the aim is 3,000 participants standing together in the shape of a puzzle piece. Instructions for lining up are provided in the registration packet. The group will be moved into formation quickly, hold the shape for five minutes while aerial photography and judging take place, then disperse in an orderly way with most participants continuing on to the arena. Admission requires the purple event T-shirt and badge. The signatures challenge is straightforward, with attendees adding their names as organizers work toward at least 1,000 signatures. A special guest may announce when the milestone is reached. The 40k build features ten stations with sorting trays and dedicated build areas, led by station captains. The puzzle comes straight from the box as ten panels and ten bags of pieces. Teams sort, assemble, and cheer together, making it a collaborative effort and a welcoming way to meet fellow puzzle enthusiasts.

With new treatments emerging in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Binghamton centers on hope and momentum. It marks a moment to recognize progress and focus attention on these diseases.

The 6th annual Ride for Richie welcomes both motorcycles and cars for a group ride that will start and finish at American Legion Post 1305. Hosted by Michelle Lupo, the day includes riding along with food, raffles, and live music. Coolers are not permitted. Ride for Richie is a nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status pending.
