A new Dunkin' is marking its grand opening with coffee, giveaways, and a community partnership benefiting Columbus Humane. The first 100 people lined up outside the restaurant, not in the drive thru, will earn one free medium hot or iced coffee each day for 100 days. Participation requires the Dunkin' app and a Dunkin' Perks account, and the offer is valid only at this location. Columbus Humane will be on site with adoptable animals to meet. A prize wheel will give attendees chances to win Dunkin' gear, limited edition merchandise, gift cards, and more. Photos with Sprinkles, the Dunkin' mascot, add to the festivities. The celebration also features a ribbon cutting and a donation presentation to Columbus Humane.

The day features team captain check-in, time to prepare costumes and decorate beds, a required captains meeting at the bracket boards, a lively costume parade, and the races. Those who prefer to cheer can back a favorite team and help fundraise from the sidelines. Rain or shine, the event turns creativity and friendly competition into comfort, dignity, and hope. A long-standing community festival in historic Old Worthington transforms the area into a pedestrian-friendly celebration that welcomes families, neighbors, and visitors. With the street closed to traffic, attendees can browse more than 160 exhibitors offering handmade arts and crafts, connect with local charities and civic groups highlighting their work, and enjoy food, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. Recognized as Worthington’s largest single-day festival and its longest standing tradition, it showcases the community’s character and pride while providing plenty of opportunities to meet people and support local makers and small businesses.

This is the biggest in-person fundraiser of the year, and last year welcomed 270 people along with 162 bassets. All dogs are welcome, and standard dog park rules apply. Colony Cats volunteers will be on site at Petco Lennox Town Center to help prospective adopters connect with adoptable cats and kittens. Volunteers will assist with introductions so visitors can get to know the animals.

Colony Cats (& dogs) brings adoptable cats and kittens to Petco in Upper Arlington. Each cat has been tested for FIV and FeLV, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and dewormed, and is ready for a new home. An approved adoption application is required.

Delaware County Historical Society opens its historic homes for free tours that highlight daily life in two eras. Guests can explore the early 1800s Meeker Homestead and the 1850s Millworker Cottage to see how lifestyles differed. Family activities include an animal track scavenger hunt in the Millworker yard. At the Meeker Homestead, participants can try cornhusk crafting by making a butterfly or a male or female doll to take home, with advance sign up requested for the Make & Take activity to ensure materials for all participants. Support from the Delaware County Foundation provides audio and visual equipment and internet access in The Barn at Stratford.

A festive benefit concert brings together 10 princess characters to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Paulettes Princess Parties, with all proceeds supporting the nonprofit Paulettes Passion. Guests can look forward to live singing and dancing throughout the program, meet and greets, photo opportunities, a glitter makeup area, tiara crowning, and a lively dance party with favorite princesses, all set amid palace-themed scene sets. The event uses an open format that allows participation at any point during the program. Tickets are offered by donation to Paulettes Passion, starting at $15 per person for general admission. VIP admission is available with a $50 donation and includes early entry and additional special moments. Both adults and children need individual tickets. Paulettes Passion is a nonprofit focused on bringing joy and wonder to children and families facing illnesses and disabilities. Through costumed characters, storytelling, music, and interactive visits in hospitals, care facilities, community spaces, or at Paulettes Palace, the organization creates uplifting experiences that spark imagination, offer comfort, and remind every child that happiness and connection belong to them.

Each class runs for one hour. Pricing is $15 for a single class or $20 for two, and homeschool students pay $10. Payment is due in cash at the class.

The pickup happens in the gravel lot behind the church off Jefferson Street, and produce will be loaded directly into your vehicle. This is not a vendor event and no space is available to rent. If this is your first visit, bringing a photo ID and/or proof of address helps staff create your record quickly. Services are available to qualifying Licking County residents with household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. Income thresholds are updated each July. Volunteers are needed each week.
