Stomping Jacksons lead a glowing community lantern parade through downtown Vermilion with New Orleans style street music. The procession gathers at Main Street Beach and follows the sidewalks along Main Street and Liberty Avenue to Grand Street, finishing at the Vermilion Lighthouse. Lanterns will light the early evening as the band guides the way. Participation is free, and people are encouraged to craft and carry their own LED lanterns. For safety, open flames and releasing lanterns are not allowed, and pets may not walk within the procession. Community lantern workshops and take home kits will be announced to help participants create their own designs.
