The Vampire Circus at the Lorain Palace Theatre October 27th

The Lorain Palace Theatre, 617 Broadway, Lorain
    See details

Enter a shadowy spectacle where circus, cabaret, and theater meet. The Vampire Circus channels a gothic whimsy reminiscent of Tim Burton with the jaw-dropping scale of Cirque du Soleil, shaping a mysterious and tantalizing experience that dazzles the senses. Over 90 minutes, international performers deliver a surge of theater, dance, and gymnastics that pushes the limits of human movement. Expect audacious acrobatics, fluid contortion, expert juggling, clowns and playful audience interactions, all amplified by evocative sound and mesmerizing illusions. The production frequently breaks the fourth wall, drawing spectators into an underworld journey that swings between fear and delight, laughter and wonder. Set in 19th century Bohemia, the story follows Count Dracula as he launches a traveling circus with his bodyguards, using it as a covert path toward power while assembling an army of vampires. A mad graveyard clown sparks cheers as chills and chuckles intertwine. Conceived by Francisco Santos, a founder and Cirque du Soleil veteran performer, and inspired by the allure of legendary traveling carnivals, this immersive experience surrounds the audience with surprises as the mystique of the vampire realm awakens.

    Megastars of Country

Lorain Palace Theatre, 617 Broadway, Lorain
    See details

A powerhouse salute to classic country spotlights the music of Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Brooks & Dunn, led by long-time impressionists Doug Brewin and Larry Turner, who have shared the stage for more than 15 years as The Mega Stars of Country. Critic Magazine in Branson, MO reported that Brewin channels Alan Jackson so convincingly he once fooled an awards audience filled with country stars. The Las Vegas Review-Journal praised Turner for capturing George Strait in look, sound, and delivery, and for a spot-on portrayal of Kix Brooks. Described as the best classic country tribute on the road today, the duo is booked by the month twice a year in Branon MO and Myrtle Beach and has earned standing ovations in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and theaters across the country. The performance runs for more than two hours with an intermission. When the band kicks into “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” the Brooks & Dunn hit that helped spark the 90s line dancing wave, it often inspires the crowd to start dancing in front of the stage.
