After moving in with her grandmother, Lulu is given a velveteen rabbit like the one her mother once cherished. Their bond deepens, stirring jealousy among the other toys while the rabbit longs to join the real rabbits he sees outside. His journey reveals the power of love and what it means to become real. Set in the present day, the production conjures magic and transformation with imaginative scenery and playful costumes. Presented as part of the Stocker Event Series in partnership with Playhouse Square, this performance takes place at Hoke Theatre. All seats are $15. Now in its third year, Mind Over Miles brings together runners, walkers, local businesses, and community partners for a 5K run and a 1 mile walk that focus on improving community health. In addition to the main events, children ages 6 and under can participate in a free Kids Fun Run with registration required. Registration and packet pickup are available. Punk Rock Flea Market Lorain marks its tenth year with a Halloween-themed Creepy Carnival at the Lorain County Community College Field House. This family friendly marketplace blends eerie carnival ambiance with a high energy punk spirit, featuring alternative artists and handmade creations, vintage and offbeat fashion, comics and collectibles, oddities and curiosities, plus sweets, treats, and other eats. Door prizes are awarded every half hour, and children 10 and under can pick up complimentary Halloween bags at the entrance while supplies last. The show is helmed by David Marquez, a two time Emmy Award winner who has spent more than 30 years producing and directing wrestling television across the U.S., Mexico, China, and Japan. His Championship Wrestling series currently reaches 130 U.S. markets and continues to grow. Marquez also consults with TNA, WWE, and Japan Pro Wrestling to identify rising talent, often introducing them on United Wrestling Network programming. Alumni who went on to WWE after regular appearances on his shows include John Cena, the 16 time WWE world champion, LA Knight, described as a two time WWE world champion on SmackDown and SummerSlam, and Adam Pearce, a five time NWA world champion who now coaches at the WWE Performance Center and appears on camera as a manager for WWE’s Raw brand. Critic Magazine in Branson, MO reported that Brewin channels Alan Jackson so convincingly he once fooled an awards audience filled with country stars. The Las Vegas Review-Journal praised Turner for capturing George Strait in look, sound, and delivery, and for a spot-on portrayal of Kix Brooks. Described as the best classic country tribute on the road today, the duo is booked by the month twice a year in Branon MO and Myrtle Beach and has earned standing ovations in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and theaters across the country. The performance runs for more than two hours with an intermission. When the band kicks into “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” the Brooks & Dunn hit that helped spark the 90s line dancing wave, it often inspires the crowd to start dancing in front of the stage.
