Ocean Inspired Resin Art Class

At Creative Loft On Detroit, participants create ocean inspired resin art presented in a rustic wood frame. Each person selects and applies a stain color for the frame, making every piece truly one of a kind. Guests may bring shells, stones, or other special finds from beach vacations to personalize their artwork and turn it into a meaningful keepsake. The class suits individuals, friends, or couples seeking a unique creative outing or date night. Finished pieces remain at the studio for at least four days so the resin can fully cure and frames can be attached securely. The cost is $100 per person or couple. Baseball Photography Workshop

Canon and TCP Photography present a hands-on baseball photography workshop at the Lake Erie Crushers stadium. Participants will photograph the Lake Erie Crushers facing the Down East Bird Dawgs while learning sports photography techniques in a live game setting. The experience includes a game ticket, rotation into the photographers’ pit during play, and access to the field after the final out to capture the fireworks. Attendees can test Canon cameras and lenses on site and receive practical instruction from professional sports photographer Tim Phillis of TCP Photography. Free parking is included. Canon will provide complimentary loaner gear to try during the game. Bringing a range of lenses is encouraged, and a tripod with a remote trigger is recommended for fireworks. Many sports photographers favor lenses such as a 70-200mm f/2.8, 300mm, or 400mm f/2.8, but any preferred lenses are welcome. Non rental options will also be available through Pixel Connection before the event. A basic understanding of camera settings like ISO and aperture is recommended, and familiarity with baseball fundamentals can enhance the experience. Unique access and limited capacity are expected to drive strong interest. Please note that the Lake Erie Crushers may sell photographs taken during the workshop for use in team promotional and collateral materials, with photo credit provided to the photographer. All attendees will be required to sign a liability waiver.

Celebrate the start of a new school year with a relaxed paint kit workshop that works for individuals, friends, co workers, or small groups. Each participant receives a curated kit inspired by classic school themes, with warm colors, cheerful patterns, and feel good energy. Choose one of four designs personalized with your name, make use of a paint and refreshment bar, and head home with a finished piece you can proudly display. Plan for approximately two and a half hours of creative time. All supplies are included, no experience is needed, and the workshop is open to ages 10 and up. The cost is $35. Art Camp Wk 10 End of Summer Craft Bash Ages 5+

Designed for children ages 5 and up, this weeklong art camp wraps up summer with a focus on creative exploration. Campers revisit favorite materials, techniques, and projects from the season while enjoying an upbeat, memory-making experience. Each day features one major project, with additional time for smaller creations, snack breaks, games, dancing, stretching, and clean-up. Sample activities include mixed media art, an ice cream themed session, sculpting, painting, and plenty of fun games. Activities may change if supplies are limited, and any preview content is inspirational rather than a guarantee of the final project. Tuition is $250 per child for the week and includes an art shirt, a water bottle, daily care, all necessary supplies, and a daily snack. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required at registration to reserve a spot. Registration changes are accepted through May 1, allowing a move to a different camp week or a cancellation with the deposit applied to another project, event, or workshop at the studio. Remaining balances are due by May 1, with invoices emailed for convenient online payment. Registrations made from May through August require payment in full.

Summer Saturday Lakeside Yoga

A 70 minute vinyasa class at Port Lorain blends strength, balance and mobility with breath-focused neuroregulation. The class welcomes all experience levels, and modifications are encouraged. Bring one or two mats for extra cushioning, a small yoga ball, resistance bands, two blocks and a water bottle. The session concludes with yogi wipes made with water, coconut oil, castile soap and sometimes essential oils. Drop-in is $10. Lo.Co. Music Fest 2026

The final installment of this long-running Lorain County music festival brings two nights of live performances to the Elyria AMVETS pavilion while raising funds for the Lorain County Music Foundation and its mentoring initiatives, including KURSE: Kids Unified Rock Studio Elyria. Music takes place rain or shine in a large covered space with table seating, fans, and access to outdoor areas, and amenities such as a bar, concessions, restrooms, and accessible facilities are available. Admission is donation-based, with a $20 presale option, $10 pricing for AMVETS members, and $10 single-day passes, and a full-event donation covers both nights. Entry includes check-in, a signed waiver, and a wristband that must be worn for the duration of the event, and reentry is permitted with a wristband. All ages are welcome, and children 15 and under attend free with a responsible adult. Camping is included, with RVs requiring prior approval, and some vendors may be on site. Event guidelines apply, including no glass containers, no alcohol in the parking lot, and alcohol service only by the bartender with consumption limited to the pavilion and adjacent grassy areas. Pets are allowed only with advance approval and registration at check-in, must remain leashed, supervised, and well behaved. Guests are asked to stay in designated areas, keep spaces clean, and follow all posted rules, and lineups and schedules are subject to change. Now in its second year, this family-friendly car and bike showcase features classic rides, custom builds, muscle cars, and bikes, plus music, food trucks, and plenty of fun. All cars are welcome to enter. More than 50 trophies will be awarded, culminating in one overall champion who earns the championship belt. The event is free, and only participants registering a vehicle need to purchase a ticket. On-site tickets for vehicle entries are limited, so pre-registration is recommended to secure a spot. Proceeds benefit local causes and are reinvested in the community. For safety, ATVs and four-wheelers are not allowed, and activities like peel-outs, burnouts, and excessive revving are prohibited.

Expect her hits and fan favorites, performed with the band setting she enjoys, along with the versatility she has shown as a guest vocalist with symphonies blending American standards, pop and Broadway. Now in its third year, Mind Over Miles brings together runners, walkers, local businesses, and community partners for a 5K run and a 1 mile walk that focus on improving community health. In addition to the main events, children ages 6 and under can participate in a free Kids Fun Run with registration required. Registration and packet pickup are available. Participants receive a short sleeve T-shirt and post race refreshments. Championship Wrestling

Experience a live taping of Championship Wrestling, bringing the United Wrestling Network’s high energy production to the ring. The show is helmed by David Marquez, a two time Emmy Award winner who has spent more than 30 years producing and directing wrestling television across the U.S., Mexico, China, and Japan. His Championship Wrestling series currently reaches 130 U.S. markets and continues to grow. Marquez also consults with TNA, WWE, and Japan Pro Wrestling to identify rising talent, often introducing them on United Wrestling Network programming. Alumni who went on to WWE after regular appearances on his shows include John Cena, the 16 time WWE world champion, LA Knight, described as a two time WWE world champion on SmackDown and SummerSlam, and Adam Pearce, a five time NWA world champion who now coaches at the WWE Performance Center and appears on camera as a manager for WWE’s Raw brand. Expect roughly two and a half to three hours of televised action featuring wrestlers sharpening their skills and personas, with an eye toward future opportunities in WWE, AEW, or TNA. Ringside seating on stage is available, and VIP stage seating is also offered.
