    Caitlin Riegel Author Signing

Beavercreek · Barnes & Noble, 2720 Towne Dr

Author Caitlin Riegel will be signing copies of her dark historical romance, “My Lord’s Captive.” The novel centers on Miles Bertram, once a naval officer and now the newly named Earl of Gainsborough, a ruthless and morally ambiguous figure who takes pleasure in his rivals’ misery and in the beauty of his enemy’s daughter. To settle a debt, he schemes a marriage of convenience that carries off an unsuspecting bride, binding her to the fearsome man known as the Raven. Gladiola, sharp-witted, independent, and grieving her mother, is forced into a handoff between a neglectful father and an intimidating husband. She wrestles with his volatile temper and dangerous allure while fighting despair, and as she tries to soften his hardened heart, she stumbles upon unexpected bonds and long-buried truths. Meanwhile, Miles strives to shield his innocently alluring wife from many enemies, himself included. Their struggle becomes a contest of wit, sin, and spite as they test whether they can carve out a life together or be torn apart. The lingering question is whether second chances will rise... or whether hatred will win.
