Designed for experienced cyclists, the route typically covers 25 to 35 miles at an average pace of 15 to 17 mph and may include a brief off-trail section. Riders must be 18 or older, wear a helmet, and bring basic repair supplies. No registration is needed, and the ride will be canceled if weather conditions are poor.

MAXSPEEDSHOP hosts a day dedicated to Nissan S‑chassis RC action, where participation is limited to S‑chassis cars to keep the spotlight on this iconic platform. Drivers check in and choose a team representing S13, S14, or S15, then show off their builds in a body contest with an Addiction S13 body awarded to the top entry. Cameras roll for a tandem session aiming to capture the longest and biggest S‑chassis RC train for video content. The spotlight then shifts to head‑to‑head battles in the S‑chassis face‑off, with prizes that include an S13 body and a livery. The event winds down with open driving, giveaways, and mini games. All footage will be edited and uploaded to YouTube after the event.

Set on the Wright State University campus, this 5K features a route suited for families. It starts with a downhill stretch past the Nutter Center and athletic facilities, turns uphill into campus, then levels off through areas near classroom buildings and the heart of campus before finishing back at the Nutter Center. Athletes must be at least 4 years old on race day to register, and the time limit to complete the distance is 90 minutes. Registered participants receive a race shirt, a virtual goodie bag, and a complimentary commemorative patch. All finishers are awarded a medal made in the USA and enjoy refreshments at the finish line.

Monarch butterflies are on their way to Mexico, and this hands-on program at Russ Nature Reserve invites participants to help tag them as part of an international citizen science project. Tagging adds valuable information about migration routes and timing. Because monarch numbers are declining, the data gathered can support research into ways to help the species. Earlier milestones such as It’s Bigger Than These Bars, filmed inside a Texas jail and watched by millions, and the four-part Domino Effect series with more than 51 million views, highlight his mastery of narrative comedy. Brought to the stage by Dayton Live and Outback Presents. VIP Meet & Greet tickets include preferred seating and an opportunity to meet Ali Siddiq after the show. Every audience member must have a ticket, regardless of age, and for the consideration of all patrons, children on laps and infants in arms are not permitted at most presentations. Lantern light sets the scene for a guided evening walk through Woodland, established in 1841 and counted among the nation’s earliest rural cemeteries. The route visits the graves of the Wright Brothers, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Erma Bombeck, James Ritty, members of the Stanley and Mead families, George Newcom and other notable Dayton figures. This tour serves as an option for those who were unable to attend the History, Mystery, Mayhem and Murder Tours. Reservations are required. A suggested donation of $10 benefits the Woodland Arboretum Foundation, supporting restoration, preservation, horticultural and educational work that helps keep Woodland a cultural resource for Dayton and Ohio.

Set within the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience Expo, this 12-hour challenge sends participants around a flat loop of just over 2.6 miles, aiming to see how far they can go within the time limit. The course is mostly grass and double-track trail with a small section of bike path, and results are tracked by counting laps and calculating total distance. This is a time-based event focused on personal goals rather than a set mileage. To be considered a finisher, participants must remain on the defined course for the entire duration, which includes the marked trail, the roped drop bag area behind the scoring table, and the restrooms. A headlamp or flashlight is required at the start. Finishers who stay on course for all 12 hours receive a commemorative award. Those who surpass 35 miles can qualify for an engraved mileage award to be picked up later, with no mailings. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in the male and female divisions, with ties decided by who completes the final lap first. Support at the start and finish includes Tailwind, water, chips, pretzels, PB&J, and other items. A roped drop bag area near the start and finish is available for quick changes, brief breaks, and refueling. Pacers are permitted later in the day and must sign a waiver. Guide dogs and guide runners may assist visually impaired athletes, with all guides and pacers required to sign the event waiver. Parking is near the campground with restrictions on certain lots. Event shirts are available to registrants who pick up their race packets, and shirts are not mailed. Race director: Lawrence Chow.

Front Street artists and artisans open their doors on the first Friday of each month, creating an art hop across Dayton’s largest concentration of studios, galleries, shops, and boutiques. Visitors can discover, make, and shop, with live music and hot food enhancing the experience. Admission is free, and free, well lit parking is available on and around the campus. The event is family and pet friendly.
