At Lorain County Community College, a car showcase connected with Relay For Life anchors a full day of community activities. Explore featured vehicles and enjoy a touch a truck experience, raffles including a 50/50, a survivor walk, and a kids festival. The day also includes a 5K, a one mile option, and a dash for kids, plus music, food, and more.

A fresh musical inspired by Margery Williams’ beloved story follows Lulu, her Gran, a roomful of toys, and a legendary community of rabbits. After moving in with her grandmother, Lulu is given a velveteen rabbit like the one her mother once cherished. Their bond deepens, stirring jealousy among the other toys while the rabbit longs to join the real rabbits he sees outside. His journey reveals the power of love and what it means to become real. Set in the present day, the production conjures magic and transformation with imaginative scenery and playful costumes. Presented as part of the Stocker Event Series in partnership with Playhouse Square, this performance takes place at Hoke Theatre. All seats are $15. Sully Solo performs live music at Big Top Brewhouse.

This rescheduled performance features Grammy-winning singer Sheena Easton, whose four-decade career spans hit records, acclaimed concerts and notable roles on stage and screen. She has sold more than 20 million records, earning Gold and Platinum albums across the United States, Europe and Asia, and she remains the first and only artist to achieve top five placements on five major Billboard charts. Expect her hits and fan favorites, performed with the band setting she enjoys, along with the versatility she has shown as a guest vocalist with symphonies blending American standards, pop and Broadway. Her screen credits include Miami Vice, The Highlander and Showtime’s Body Bags, as well as starring roles in UPN’s Ghost Stories and Showtime’s Outer Limits, plus a regular role on the PAX series Young Blades and a Las Vegas talk show co-hosted with Brian McKnight. On Broadway she starred as Aldonza and Dulcinea in Man of La Mancha opposite the late Raul Julia and as Rizzo in Grease, and in 2017 she returned to London’s West End as Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street. A longtime Las Vegas attraction and a member of the Las Vegas Hall of Fame, Easton was born in Bellshill, Scotland, the youngest of six, and is the mother of two, Jake and Skylar.

Now in its third year, Mind Over Miles brings together runners, walkers, local businesses, and community partners for a 5K run and a 1 mile walk that focus on improving community health. In addition to the main events, children ages 6 and under can participate in a free Kids Fun Run with registration required. Registration and packet pickup are available. Participants receive a short sleeve T-shirt and post race refreshments. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female, along with the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 0 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
