Free Fun Friday brings a bug-themed bash to Foundation Plaza. An interactive program from Bugman Education & Science Shows features remarkable insects, engaging facts, and hands-on science tailored for kids and families. The Ashland Public Library Bookmobile will be on site with Summer Reading sign-ups, and lunch is provided by University Hospitals and the Ashland-Wooster Drive In.

Cars & Coffee returns to Ashland with a relaxed meetup in the Parts Superstore lot, centered on great cars, fresh coffee, and friendly conversation. Bring a project build or a daily driver, or simply come to stroll the lineup. This is a simple, no-frills gathering focused on community and good vibes, with more details to be announced. Stuff the Bus 2026 is a community school supply drive at Walmart Ashland - E Main St that helps local students start the school year ready to learn. Donors are encouraged to bring items such as scissors, mechanical pencils, red or black pens, composition books, earbuds or headphones, wide or college-ruled paper, and spiral notebooks in 1 or 3 subject formats. Clothing for school-age children is also needed, including underwear, socks, leggings, and sweatpants in sizes 5 and up. Look for the school bus in the parking lot to drop off supplies. Every contribution supports children in this community so they can enter the classroom prepared and confident.

Back to School Bash 2026 at Ridgeway First Church of God features games, food, an obstacle course, a slide, and plenty of fun. Activities are open to attendees whether or not they plan to receive a bookbag. Bookbags require preregistration by July 25 and are available only to students in the Madison School District. Haircuts will not be provided this year.

Arrive early to choose a comfortable spot before the film starts. Complimentary popcorn will be available.

Learn crochet basics while making secure, stylish hair scrunchies in a beginner friendly class led by instructor Ginger Stoops. Designed for ages 12 and up, the session lasts about one to one and a half hours and covers foundational skills such as the single crochet stitch and how to create a soft, ruffled edge. All materials are provided, and each participant takes home a crochet hook to continue practicing. The price is $20 plus tax. Class sizes are kept small to allow for individual attention and plenty of hands on guidance.
