His landmark project 400: An Afrikan Epic, a 12-album cycle released in 2019, explores the history, resilience, creativity, and future of the Afrikan diaspora, uniting composition, jazz, and storytelling to link past and future. Lomax holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in classical composition and music theory from The Ohio State University, and his works have been performed by leading orchestras and ensembles. At the Greater Columbus Convention Center, TORG Gaming Expo celebrates its 10th anniversary with a weekend dedicated entirely to video games, community, and family fun. The show floor features more than 400 vendor tables, with roughly 75 percent devoted to gaming sellers and 25 percent to gaming-adjacent offerings. All 3D printing booths are curated, gaming themed, and capped at about 3 percent of the vendor area. Unrelated offerings such as AI-generated art, antlers, recruiting, or travel promotions are not included, keeping the focus squarely on games and gaming merchandise. The Bucyrus Redman Athletic Boosters present their inaugural reverse raffle at Bucyrus Elks Lodge #156, a fundraiser dedicated to supporting Bucyrus student-athletes. The group is led by Kevin Prater, whose bluegrass journey began at age seven and has reached audiences across 49 states and 24 countries. He spent years with the James King Band, contributing to projects honored as Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Recorded Event of the Year, and he earned a Banjo Player of the Year nomination during his time with The Bluegrass Brothers. Known for an energetic touring schedule throughout the United States and Canada, the band served as the three day feature band at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Edmonton and completed a California tour. They are finishing their first all original recording at Kevin’s Music Makers studio, following the single Kentucky Mountain Memories, which reached number 6 on the Roots Music Charts. On stage, Kevin performs on mandolin alongside guitarist Aidan Kerber of Johnson City, TN, bassist Larry Cadle of Galion, OH, banjo player Codie Allen of Campbellsville, KY, and fiddler Eb Sunders of Chattanooga, TN, who is 16 and a sophomore at Chattanooga State Community College studying criminal justice. Eb is the son of Owen Saunders, a former James King Band bandmate of Kevin. All members are multi-instrumentalists who also contribute vocals, and the group shares its Bluegrass Gospel Music Ministry with congregations they return to year after year.
