Donors are encouraged to bring items such as scissors, mechanical pencils, red or black pens, composition books, earbuds or headphones, wide or college-ruled paper, and spiral notebooks in 1 or 3 subject formats. Clothing for school-age children is also needed, including underwear, socks, leggings, and sweatpants in sizes 5 and up. Look for the school bus in the parking lot to drop off supplies. Every contribution supports children in this community so they can enter the classroom prepared and confident.

Ride for a cause in Mansfield with a benefit motorcycle route and a spaghetti dinner supporting James and Delaine Weiner. The day begins at Ohio Shine with free coffee and donuts, along with an early peek at the Basket Razzle prizes. The route explores the Mohican region’s picturesque roads. After the ride, a spaghetti dinner is planned with bread, fresh salad, and homemade desserts, with the dinner venue to be announced. Commander League Season 1: Guild Wars

The Budget Hipster Deck Brew League is a relaxed, community-focused Commander league at The Eldritch Bastion that celebrates creative brewing, fresh strategies, and friendly table camaraderie. Season 1 uses the Guild Wars theme. Each season runs for eight weeks with no entry fee. League decks either follow the season’s theme or are unmodified preconstructed decks purchased through The Eldritch Bastion during the season. Proxies are welcome, and players track games and achievement stats on a league sheet. Any game played with a league deck counts toward the league even if other players are not using league decks. At the end of the season, anyone who records eight games receives a random promo card. Additional promos can be earned for most wins, being eliminated first the most times, casting a commander the most in a single game, earning at least one win with the lowest-cost list on Moxfield, playing the least-represented commander on EDHREC at season’s end, and community votes for coolest deck and most on-theme build via the shop Discord. Deckbuilding and play aim for straightforward, unoptimized lists that leave room for flair and fun. Win conditions should be incremental, visible on the board, and easy to interact with. Games are low pressure and social, with proactive and considerate play that lets every deck show its plan, and you can expect games to last at least eight turns. Use a Bracket 2 commander. Cards labeled as Game Changers are not allowed unless they appear in an untouched precon. Chaining extra turns and broad mana denial are not permitted. Commanders must have fewer than 5,000 decks on EDHREC unless running an unmodified precon. Classic Partner is not allowed, though Partners With, Choose a Background, and Friends Forever are acceptable. Decks must cost under $100 using TCG Medium pricing for the cheapest printings on Moxfield, with basic lands at $0 and the commander included in the total. Decklists are submitted via The Eldritch Bastion Discord using Moxfield, Archidekt, or similar tools, and future season themes are chosen by midseason vote on the shop Discord. For Guild Wars specifically, commanders must be exactly two colors unless you use an unmodified precon, and decks should align with one of Ravnica’s ten guild identities or use an unmodified precon.

Commander League Season 1: Guild Wars

Budget Hipster Deck Brew League is a casual, community focused Commander league that celebrates brewing on a budget, exploring new strategies, and building camaraderie in the casual Commander scene at The Eldritch Bastion. Seasons span eight weeks with no buy in. Season 1 features the Guild Wars theme. Commanders use exactly two colors and decks lean into one of the ten Ravnica guilds, or players can run an unmodified preconstructed deck purchased through the shop during the season. The league is proxy friendly, though picking up cards to support the shop is encouraged. Any game played with a league deck counts toward the season as long as results are recorded on the tracking sheet, even when other players are not using league decks. Decks use a Bracket 2 commander and are built to be straightforward and creative rather than optimized. Win conditions should be incremental and clear on the battlefield so others can interact. Games aim to be relaxed and social, with proactive and considerate play that lets each deck show its plan, and tables should generally see at least eight turns before a result. No Game Changers are allowed unless they come in an unmodified precon, and there is no chaining extra turns or using mass mana denial. Commanders must appear in fewer than 5,000 decks on EDHREC unless the deck is an unmodified precon. Standard Partner is not allowed, while variants such as Partners With, Choose a Background, and Friends Forever are permitted. Deck budgets are capped at 100 dollars using TCG Medium pricing for the least expensive printing on Moxfield. Basic lands do not count toward the total and the commander’s cost is included. Decklists are submitted on Moxfield or Archidekt through The Eldritch Bastion Discord. Players who complete and record eight games during the season receive a random promo card. Additional promos can be earned for achievements such as most wins, being eliminated first the most times, casting a commander the most times in a single game, earning a win with the least expensive deck as tracked on Moxfield, piloting the least played commander on EDHREC at season’s end, and community votes on the coolest deck and the most on theme build via Discord. Their calm, curious nature can create a soothing atmosphere that may help ease stress. They are shy and will respect personal space, though they might wander nearby to observe. End of Summer - Ms Main Street Bash Pin Up Gala 2026

A vintage pin up gala and pageant takes center stage within the End of Summer Main Street Bash and its Car, Truck and Bike Show in historic downtown Ashland, Ohio. A cohort of 16 Pin Ups is featured throughout the celebration, spending the day greeting spectators, visiting locally owned shops, posing with classic and custom vehicles, and sharing the spirit of vintage style. The emphasis is on community and connection, not just a brief moment on stage. The theme is Hello Autumn, inviting warm hues, timeless elegance and harvest charm as the season turns. Contestants are encouraged to reflect styles from the 1920s through the 1960s, with rockabilly and creative interpretations welcome. Outfits do not have to be authentic vintage. Swimwear, lingerie and Halloween costumes are not allowed. The experience begins with a meet and greet that brings together Pin Ups, photographers, spectators and members of the downtown community. Each selected participant receives a custom set of professionally designed collectible trading cards created from her application photo to sign and share during the festivities. The Pin Up Pit Stop Tour offers exclusive visits to locally owned businesses, where some prepare special gifts or treats as a thank you. Throughout the day, tasteful vintage photography is encouraged, and participants are asked to avoid inappropriate or overly suggestive poses. The day wraps up with an on stage presentation where judges recognize those who truly capture the heart of the gala. Evaluation looks beyond stage presence to personality, sportsmanship, engagement with the crowd, kindness, overall presentation and how each person represents herself and the event. Five participants will be honored, with custom sashes for category winners and cash awards of $500, $300 and $200 for the overall placements. Additional specialty recognitions may be announced. This family friendly event is grounded in kindness, encouragement, community and respect. Women of all backgrounds and experience levels who are 21 or older are welcome to apply. Bullying, harassment, profanity, political discussions and other negative or controversial behavior are not tolerated in person or online. Proceeds benefit the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation in honor of eight-year-old Officer Allysson Nead, who is facing Niemann-Pick Type C. A new festival at the Ashland County Fairgrounds blends a cozy fall atmosphere with a celebration of pottery. Visitors can explore handmade ceramic pumpkins, connect with local Ohio makers, enjoy food and coffee, and take in live music, all with a pumpkin patch feel that adds a creative twist. Hosted by Jessie Tyler Ceramics, it grew from a long-held vision to bring many homemade vendors together in one place.

The Main Street Car, Truck and Bike Show rolls into historic downtown Ashland, Ohio as part of the 2nd Annual End of Summer Main Street Bash. Presented by Big 3 Racing and hosted by Kandi Blaze and Friends, this showcase welcomes every kind of build, from classics and customs to hot rods, street machines, daily drivers, trucks and bikes. Registration is handled in person at the on-site booth on Main Street, and contributions of any amount serve as the registration fee. All registration donations support this year’s selected nonprofit. There is no online pre-registration for the show. Event staff will direct registered vehicles through designated entry and exit points to keep traffic moving smoothly. Only registered entries may park on Main Street, while spectators can use free public parking lots throughout downtown. Awards highlight standouts such as Coolest Ride on Main Street, Most Radical or Modified and Vintage Beauty, with Ladies Choice selected by the Pin Up Gala and special bike recognition from Gargoyle Garage. The first 200 registered vehicles receive a limited edition dash plaque. The Ms. Main Street Bash Vintage Pin Up Pageant and Gala, hosted by Kandi Blaze, adds a retro flair with meet and greets, photo opportunities and collectible trading cards. Application information for the gala will be available through its official event page. Expect live music and entertainment, a 50/50, the Beards on Main competition with the Appalachian Bearded Mafia, non food vendors, nearby eateries, downtown shopping and family friendly fun. An updated event map and final performance schedule will be shared closer to the event. Big 3 Racing will display a lineup of high horsepower street and strip machines that have appeared at Roadkill Nights, Dragzine features, Sick Week and Sick Magazine. Guests can meet some of the drivers, ask questions and get a close look. Vehicles are on display only for safety, so there are no burnouts downtown. Those interested in seeing them in action can inquire with Big 3 Racing about race dates or time at their facility. Proceeds from the End of Summer Main Street Bash benefit the National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation in honor of eight-year-old “Officer” Allysson Nead, who is battling Niemann-Pick Type C, bringing the community together around a meaningful cause while celebrating cars, trucks, bikes, music and downtown businesses.

Pumpkin Faces Felting Class

Give needle felting a try and head home with a pumpkin character that shows off a personality you choose, whether playful, spooky, cheerful, or a bit impish. With guided, step-by-step teaching, you will shape alpaca and wool fibers into a three dimensional pumpkin face using a barbed needle, learning how to build forms, refine details, and add expressive features that bring your creation to life. Needle felting works by repeatedly poking natural fiber with a barbed needle so the strands tangle and firm up, a simple and calming technique that can create both flat designs and fully formed sculptures. The class welcomes adventurous beginners as well as those with some experience, with opportunities to try more advanced touches. All materials are provided, and you will have use of tools and a foam work surface during the session. Space is limited and registration is required.

September Secret City Tour

Experience downtown Mansfield on a self-paced tour created by DMI. The focus is on historic, undeveloped buildings found throughout the downtown area.

High Wall Cruise In

The High Wall Cruise-In is back for its second year at the Ohio State Reformatory. Vehicle entry is $20, and all vehicles are welcome. Advance registration is recommended, as the first 200 registered vehicles receive a special dash plaque. Awards include Best in Show, Warden’s Choice, Top 30, and additional honors. On-site activities include a cornhole tournament, a 50/50 raffle, and door prize drawings, with one ticket provided to each entrant. Every registered vehicle also receives a coupon for discounts on historic tours and escape rooms, plus 10 percent off in the museum store and 10 percent off in the Scofield Cafe. Spectator admission to the car show is free. Tours and escape rooms are offered at standard fall rates of $22 for self-guided tours, $35 for escape rooms, and $40 for guided tours.
