Haunted Head-To-Head is a competitive tournament in Cleveland, OH with a 64 player cap, including four spots reserved for tournament staff. This Commander league features a Parallel Reality twist inspired by Reality Fracture. Any legendary creature can partner, but only with another version that portrays the same character within the Magic universe. That means pairs like Kaalia the Vast with Kaalia, Zenith Seeker, Ghoulcaller Gisa with Gisa and Geralf, or Urza with The Blind Seer. Commanders from Universes Beyond are excluded, although those cards may appear in the 99. This applies across outside properties, including The Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons. Both members of a commander pair must be legal commanders on their own. Planeswalkers that are normally eligible to lead a deck are allowed in this format, such as the two versions of Aminatou, and partner cards are fine if both represent the same character, like the two Bruse Tarl cards. For this season, the usual EDHREC popularity limit is lifted. Some characters are not permitted. Atraxa is banned. All Praetors are off the table, including Elesh Norn, Jin Gitaxias, Sheoldred, Urabrask, and Vorinclex. The Eldrazi titans Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek are not allowed. Jodah is banned. Two color versions of Niv Mizzet are not allowed, while the five color options remain acceptable. Deck construction follows a $100 budget that excludes the commander and basic lands. The target power level is casual and social. Do not run infinite two card combos, fast combo lines, chains of extra turns, or mass land destruction. Games should not wrap up before turn eight, and this is not a budget cEDH setting. Participants are asked to keep the environment relaxed and considerate. Build something engaging rather than an oppressive engine, since many pods will play multiple games together. If a matchup feels unpleasant, it is acceptable to avoid playing your league deck or to skip that pairing. Keep the social experience in mind and aim to be a thoughtful opponent. The league spans eight weeks.

Now in its fourth year, the Viking Races bring a spirited blend of road and trail running to Rocky River Reservation’s South Mastick Picnic Area. The Kevin Prater Band brings its "Coal-Fired, Pure Kentucky Bluegrass" sound to Paradise Church in Mansfield, blending traditional drive with classic country, bluegrass gospel, original material, and bluegrass renditions of vintage rock. The group is led by Kevin Prater, whose bluegrass journey began at age seven and has reached audiences across 49 states and 24 countries. He spent years with the James King Band, contributing to projects honored as Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Recorded Event of the Year, and he earned a Banjo Player of the Year nomination during his time with The Bluegrass Brothers. Known for an energetic touring schedule throughout the United States and Canada, the band served as the three day feature band at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Edmonton and completed a California tour. They are finishing their first all original recording at Kevin’s Music Makers studio, following the single Kentucky Mountain Memories, which reached number 6 on the Roots Music Charts. On stage, Kevin performs on mandolin alongside guitarist Aidan Kerber of Johnson City, TN, bassist Larry Cadle of Galion, OH, banjo player Codie Allen of Campbellsville, KY, and fiddler Eb Sunders of Chattanooga, TN, who is 16 and a sophomore at Chattanooga State Community College studying criminal justice. Eb is the son of Owen Saunders, a former James King Band bandmate of Kevin. All members are multi-instrumentalists who also contribute vocals, and the group shares its Bluegrass Gospel Music Ministry with congregations they return to year after year.

Planning is underway for this year's Ohio ARES conference, which moves to the Ashland County Sheriff's Office Annex in Ashland County. Organizers selected the new site because it is closer for many who attended last year, while those from the far southwest may have a longer drive. Ashland is about an hour north of Columbus and the venue sits near the highway, which should make travel manageable for most. Seven presentation slots are planned. Each session is expected to run 30 to 45 minutes, with short breaks in between for brief social time and resets. The schedule also includes a full hour for lunch, with plenty of dining choices nearby. Speakers are being confirmed and the program is in the final stages of planning.

Scheduled pets are dropped off at the Wayne County Humane Society, taken to AlterClinic for their procedures, and returned the same day for owner pickup. All scheduling is handled by phone at (234) 804-3064, where staff collect owner and pet information, place pets on the transport list, and have a coordinator follow up in advance to confirm appointments. Transport is for spay and neuter appointments only, although additional services can be added during the same visit, including vaccinations, microchipping, and SNAP combo testing.
