Mandolinist and bandleader Kevin Prater is marking his 47th year in music, having performed in 49 states and 24 countries, and is well known for a long tenure with the James King Band that included roles on multiple award-winning recordings. He also earned a nomination for Banjo Player of the Year during his time with The Bluegrass Brothers. The lineup includes Kevin Prater on mandolin, Dalton Smith on guitar, Larry Cadle on bass, Codie Allen on banjo, and Eb Sunders on fiddle, with every member adding vocals and versatility on multiple instruments. The band tours widely across the United States and Canada, recently served as the featured act across three days at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Edmonton, and completed a run of shows in California.
