The Art Junction in New Haven, Ohio marks 15 years with With a Little Help From My Friends, a group exhibition that recognizes the artists, students, families, and community partners who have shaped its creative neighborhood. The showcase gathers contributors from Ohio and beyond, including Don Moore of Texas, James Easter of Toledo, David Wolff of Collins, Lynda Stoneham of North Fairfield, Alec Casto and Marnie Lillo of Willard, Karen Wilson of New Haven, Kellie Kalash of Columbus, work from the estate of Charles Casto of Willard, Amanda Kiplinger of Polk, Bruce Bitmead of Buffalo, and Kevin Casto of Willard. For a decade and a half, The Art Junction has offered gallery exhibitions, artist talks, classes, summer art camps, homeschool sessions, adult workshops, community art events, and visiting-artist programs in media such as fused glass, clay, and painting. It has also developed touring faith-based exhibits including The Art of Advent, Art of the Passion, A Harvest of Attributes: Images of the Fruit of the Spirit, The Painted Word: A Visual Journey of the Life of Christ, and Images of Pentecost. Centered on friendship, creativity, and gratitude, this anniversary presentation highlights the organization’s ongoing support of young and emerging artists and makers of all ages. Looking ahead, plans include pursuing nonprofit status to expand grant opportunities and further building a pottery studio donated by local potter William Foster.

Unlock rarely seen corners of downtown Mansfield with the Secret City Tour, a self-guided exploration of historic properties in transition. Move at your own pace through multiple sites and get a sense of how these buildings tell the story of where the downtown has been and where it is going. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite or on the day at Social on Main. Photography is welcome. High Wall Cruise-In returns to the Ohio State Reformatory for its second year, welcoming vehicles of every make and model. Vehicle entry is $20, and spectator access is free. Awards include Best in Show, Warden’s Choice, Top 30, and additional honors. On-site activities include a cornhole tournament, a 50/50 raffle, and door prize drawings, with one ticket provided to each vehicle entrant. Pre-registration is encouraged, and the first 200 registered vehicles receive an exclusive dash plaque. Each registered vehicle also gets a coupon with discounts on historic tours and escape rooms, plus 10 percent off in the museum store and 10 percent off in the Scofield Cafe. Tours and escape rooms will be available at standard fall pricing, listed as $22 for self-guided tours, $35 for escape rooms, and $40 for guided tours. The setting brings together chrome, history, and horsepower inside one of Ohio’s most storied landmarks.

Take part in a slower paced, limited capacity guided experience tailored for visitors who may need additional assistance. In recognition of the 100th anniversary of Kingwood Hall’s groundbreaking during America’s 250th anniversary, the tour spotlights Mr. King’s contributions to innovation and the transportation industry in Ohio through his work at the Ohio Brass Company. The route spans all three levels of his former home and includes select behind the scenes areas. Tickets are $8 for members and $12 for nonmembers.

An arts festival at Richland Academy in Mansfield highlights visual artists and crafters along with chalk muralists, with music by Richland Academy, Tao Bridge, Najee Rawls, 101 Tea, Rob Hemmick, and Karyn Wade. The lineup also features an after hours open mic and readings from local authors. Food trucks and offerings from local restaurants are part of the experience, and the program includes Mansfield Shakespeare, selfie stations, and Stellar Robotics. A motorcycle and community rally raising funds to repair the church’s 138-year-old stained glass window. Highlights include a motorcycle contest, a silent auction, music, food vendors, a cornhole tournament, and games for kids. Transportation from the school parking lot will be available. Mansfield Toy Show welcomes collectors, families, and toy fans to a classic marketplace featuring more than 400 vendor tables. Browse a wide range of vintage and modern finds, including action figures, memorabilia, trading cards, comics, games, and other nostalgic collectibles spanning past decades to today. Admission is $5 for adults, and kids 10 and under are free. Early buyer tickets are available, and VIP options are offered. Free on-site parking is provided.
