A not back to school celebration is planned at Troy View Church of God, and it is not a religious event. Families can gather to mark the close of the homeschool winter season and enjoy time together. Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack to share, and simple options are perfectly fine. A towel and possibly a change of clothes are recommended. All ages are welcome, with parents responsible for supervising their children. Admission is $1 per person for non-members, while Piqua Area Homeschool Group members attend for free. Membership is available at $10 per year, or $5 per year for returning members. Please help care for the space by reminding children to ask before handling church property. Ohio’s Hospice hosts a Celebrating Life’s Stories Butterfly Release that offers a thoughtful way to honor people who have touched lives and continue to live on in memory. A short program with music leads into the moment when participants release butterflies in remembrance of loved ones. If attendance is not possible, requested butterflies will be released on the requester’s behalf. Butterflies are $20 each. Registration is required. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and net proceeds support Ohio’s Hospice patient care and services.
