MVMBA’s free FAST LAPS training ride returns to Troy Mountain Bike Area, with the format shaped by weather and trail conditions. Participation now requires a current MVMBA membership along with a completed series registration and activity waiver before signing up for this specific activity, and the same email must be used for all registrations. New this year, one-time series registration covers the season, and riders receive permanent bibs with RFID timing at no cost. Replacements are $5, and an optional in-person bib number selection is available first come, first served for $5 at FAST LAPS activities. Part of the Dayton Live Star Attractions Series sponsored by Projects Unlimited, this production takes the stage at the Schuster Center. Guests can explore a broad range of pours, including some rare whiskeys. Each ticket includes up to eight tastings of bourbon and sparkling wine, and a cash bar will also serve bourbons, sparkling wine, and specialty cocktails. Ohio’s Hospice presents a Remembrance Walk that offers families and friends a thoughtful way to honor a loved one while helping fund patient care and supportive services. Participants can choose clearly marked 3K or 5K routes. Recognition will be given to the top fundraising individual and the top fundraising team. Personal tributes are available through memorial signs. For $20, a sign customized with a loved one’s name will be placed along the main entrance to the Hospice House for the walk, with an order deadline in effect. Registration continues up to the day of the walk. T-shirts are guaranteed only for those who met the stated guarantee deadline, and later registrants may receive a shirt if supplies remain. Trader Joe’s will provide fruit and water for those picking up T-shirts and visiting the memorial sign path. Fees: Individual Walker $25, Veteran or Active Military $20, Youth Walker 12 and under $15, Memorial sign $20. At Hopeland Church, a community grocery giveaway offers free groceries to people experiencing challenging times. The effort is focused on sharing the love of Jesus with neighbors who need a little extra support. Please bring identification to receive groceries.

Sesame Street Live unveils a new production, Elmo’s Got the Moves, bringing Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and their friends to communities across North America. The tour includes a stop at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio for a family celebration with these favorite characters.

Presented by I AM WHAT I AM Recordings & Productions, this intimate night at Trojan City Music features an immersive, up close solo multimedia set from J. Anthony Goff, known as idiedtrying, as the project approaches its 25th year and continues to earn recognition for boundary‑pushing, self‑propelled creativity. Special guest absent the mind, the original project from Tyler Mayes, draws on 90s Seattle grunge, late 60s psychedelia, and 2010s indie pop, with songs from the record frequencies alongside new material. Additional sets include John Hendry with his first solo appearance in years and his first time back on stage since the pandemic, sharing acoustic folk and country songwriting, TIME IS NOW with a one person kazoo driven performance, James Atkins bringing a gritty acoustic sound with strong vocals rooted in classic country, and the debut of the metalcore duo The Lazarus Effect performing music from Life. Visual art will be showcased by Josh Arnold and by Bethany Shoaf Tompkins of Silly Sewing Goose, who will be offering on site, hand cranked chainstitch embroidery with a vintage flair. This event is open to all ages. The previous show reached capacity and the room is very small, so ticket quantities are limited. Advance tickets are $15 and day of tickets are $20, and tickets are non refundable. More performers and artists will be announced.

A kickoff meeting takes place at the Miami Valley Veterans Museum. Guests are welcome to explore the exhibits before or after the meeting, and there is an indoor Easter egg hunt for children with a limit of ten eggs per participant.

Nurse Blake brings a brand new stand-up show to Victoria Theatre at Dayton Live, spotlighting the outrageous things patients and families say and do. Expect whirlwind stories that range from dramatic WebMD self-diagnoses to call lights treated like game show buzzers, with big laughs for a crowd often filled with healthcare workers who could use a break. A limited Q&A package offers premium seating along with preshow access that includes a question-and-answer session, a soundcheck, an exclusive selfie, and take-home items such as a translucent fanny pack, an 8x10 photo, a commemorative show ticket, plus a laminate and lanyard. Hosted by Wayne High School Cheer, the first Battle of the Bows cheer competition brings youth and high school teams to Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio for an all-day showcase of routines and spirited performances. Divisions span youth, game day, and traditional categories, and the schedule features head-to-head Jump Off and Tumble Off contests. UCA coaches and UCA score sheets are incorporated, and awards will honor top teams along with standout athletes. Coach registration is currently open.

Since 1995, this annual evening held the weekend preceding Thanksgiving has become the official preview for A Carillon Christmas, the park’s monthlong holiday celebration. The fundraiser features unique experiences available only that night, including live caroling and bell wagon performances led by carillonneur Alan Bowman, along with a silent auction, festive dishes, and specialty cocktails set among the museum exhibits, highlighted by a martini ice luge. Because a significant portion of the activities takes place outdoors, dressing for the weather is recommended. All proceeds support Dayton History, a privately funded nonprofit dedicated to inspiring generations by connecting them with the distinctive people, places, and events that shaped Dayton and the world.
