A Ladies of Harley ride led by Candy Sakacsi heads to Aullwood Audubon in Dayton. Registration takes place at the dealership before departure. The route follows back roads with 55 mph speed limits, with a brief segment on Route 30 at 70 mph. Two fuel stops are planned, spaced roughly 57 to 69 miles apart. Lunch is planned in Vandalia, with a request to avoid the McDonald’s there to help the group leave more safely. After lunch the ride continues to Aullwood Audubon, a conservation center focused on wildlife where a 2 mile trail leads to three troll sculptures. Admission is $13 for ages 13 to 64 and $9 for children ages 4 to 12, or $8 each with a group of 10 or more. Following the visit, the group heads to the hotel. A block of rooms is available at Days Inn in Englewood under Hall of Fame HOG at a total rate of $109.51 including tax, and breakfast is buffet style. Dinner is planned at Company 7 BBQ. The return trip follows the same route with the same fuel and stretch stops.

This gathering brings together neighbors, farmers, producers, and food enthusiasts, with more than 70 local growers, makers, and artisans taking part throughout the season. The market is committed to access for all by accepting SNAP and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, helping connect Northeast Ohio shoppers with fresh, sustainable foods. It takes place rain or shine. For a smoother visit, wear sturdy shoes for grassy areas and bring reusable bags. Many vendors accept credit cards, and keeping some cash handy can help move lines along. To keep the experience welcoming for everyone, the opening hour is pet free, then well socialized dogs on a secure leash are invited for the remainder of the market. Keep in mind it is a bustling setting rather than a place to train new or reactive pets.
