    2026 $5,000 AKRON OPEN

Station 300 Akron, 580 E Cuyahoga Falls Ave, Akron · verified Aug 23
    See details

Station 300 Akron hosts a multi-format bowling tournament featuring team and singles competition, highlighted by a first-place payout of $5,000 based on entries. The lineup includes a Trios team event, a Doubles event, and a Singles Main Event with two squads, followed by a concluding bracket round. Trios teams enter for $300, capped at 40 teams, with a $150 deposit required to reserve a spot. Doubles teams enter for $200, capped at 92 teams, with a $100 deposit. The Singles Main Event is $140 per bowler, and a $70 deposit secures entry. Two squads are offered in singles, each limited to 161 bowlers. Every squad bowls six games on fresh oil prepared as a house shot. One in five competitors across both squads advances to the bracket. A sellout sends 64 bowlers into seeded match play (1 vs 64, 2 vs 63, and so on), with each round decided by two-game totals. If a game is tied, a 9th and 10th frame roll-off determines the winner, and the higher seed chooses the starting lane. The final bracket runs regardless of entry count, so byes may be used. There are no refunds, and the tournament director’s decisions are final. Payments can be made to Jody Boyd or James Hiles. Venmo payments go to @JamesDaltonHiles, sent as friends and family, with the last four digits 0863 when prompted. PayPal is also @JamesDaltonHiles, sent as friends and family, and not using payer protection. Zelle can be sent to James Hiles at 412-913-0863 or JDH102583@aol.com. Include the event name and squad time in the payment comments.
