Registration is open for the Warren Italian American Festival youth pageant at Courthouse Square in Downtown Warren, Ohio. Ignite the Night Youngstown brings the community together along the Mahoning River for an evening of live music and fireworks. Steel Valley Woofstock 9 is a ticketed evening of music and furry-friend fun, bringing together Peace, Paws, Love, and live entertainment. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the show runs until 10:30 PM. This two-day drawing workshop with local artist Ed Hallahan offers a contemplative approach to image making that reflects on creation. Participants will work with the shape of the hand, their own or others, exploring chiaroscuro techniques and the symbolism of light and shadow rooted in Yin Yang philosophy within a circular composition. White charcoal on black paper serves as the primary medium, and attendance spans both sessions. The fee is $50 and includes materials. Open to adults 18 and older, with limited capacity. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers hosts a dine-to-donate fundraiser supporting the Lakeview Little Bulldogs football and cheerleading programs. Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. It runs year-round, moving indoors during the colder months and outdoors when the weather warms. The market is hosted by Thrive Mahoning Valley, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to making the Mahoning Valley more welcoming and equitable.

At Phelps Street Community Gateway, this pop-up brings neighbors together with the Downtown Ambassadors for games, arts activities, and live music. Attendees are welcome to contribute by bringing an activity to share with the community. It aligns with DORA hours, allowing adults to enjoy beverages outdoors within the designated area. Admission is free, and free parking is available in the Commerce Lot across the street.

Meet outside the Public Library Main Branch near the bike rack for a community-paced outing connected to the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market. On second Thursdays, both walkers and riders are welcome. Walkers set off on a 30 minute, one mile route through downtown that finishes at the market, while riders take a beginner-friendly 30 minute ride through downtown with guidance on safe road riding, using bike lanes, and signaling to other road users. On fourth Thursdays, the event focuses on walking only, featuring a 30 minute, one mile downtown loop that ends back at the market. The first 20 participants, whether walking or riding, receive a $5 certificate redeemable only at the Downtown Youngstown Night Market.

Explore archaeology with presentations from Lora Brady and John Chuey of the Mahoning Valley Archaeological Society. The program highlights the society's background and findings from two local sites, including Cedar Creek near Mansfield, Ohio, and Seaman's Fort Defensive Earthwork in Milan, Ohio. Dire Straits Legacy presents the music of Dire Straits with an ensemble that includes musicians who recorded and toured with the band, joined by world class players. The performance includes the group’s most recognizable hits alongside new songs from the album 3 Chord Trick, produced by Alan Clark and Phil Palmer, plus a few surprises. With Dire Straits’ catalog that has sold over 120 million albums worldwide, the set draws from six platinum releases and features classics such as Money for Nothing, Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Walk of Life, Brothers in Arms, Tunnel of Love and more. On stage are Dire Straits veterans Alan Clark, the band’s first keyboardist, Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings, who both recorded On Every Street, and Mel Collins, who appeared on the singles Love Over Gold and Twisting by the Pool. Each has performed live with Dire Straits across multiple global tours. They are joined by bassist Steve Walters, known for work with George Michael, drummer Cristiano Micalizzi, Primiano Di Biase, one of Europe’s most sought-after keyboardists, and frontman Marco Caviglia, widely regarded as a leading authority on Mark Knopfler’s distinctive guitar style.
