The Tulsa Buddy Walk is a quarter mile fundraising walk that encourages understanding and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. Families and friends create teams and walk together to support their Buddy with Down syndrome in a welcoming, family friendly setting.

Tulsa Public Schools is hosting an information session focused on planning for the 2027 to 2028 school year. Community members can share questions and needs and will be asked to identify priorities for district resources, including the services and opportunities they want in the coming years. The conversation centers on supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional success. This session is one of six chances for the community to provide input. Spanish interpretation is available.

Geared toward youth, the Lost City Archery Club teaches the fundamentals of using a compound bow with a strong focus on correct technique and safety. Participants build coordination, attentive listening, and the habit of following directions, while also developing responsibility and accountability. Instruction includes breathing exercises and methods for slowing down to improve focus, plus opportunities to practice teamwork and leadership. The program takes place at Chandler Park Community Center. It is designed for ages 6 to 12. Each class costs $10, and it is free for Tulsa County Parks members. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and secure long hair to keep it clear of the bowstring.
