Fall No Boundaries 5K Presented by Saucony

Fleet Feet Tulsa - KingsPointe Village (Tulsa, OK), Tulsa
    See details

Training for a race can feel daunting, which is why Fleet Feet’s No Boundaries program exists. Presented by Saucony, this offering at Fleet Feet Tulsa - KingsPointe Village in Tulsa focuses on removing barriers so goals like a first 5K, a stronger 5K, or a step toward a 10K feel within reach. Created and offered at Fleet Feet locations nationwide, No Boundaries takes a thoughtful approach that supports runners and walkers at every level. The program gathers everyone as one welcoming group, then breaks into smaller groups so each person trains with a plan that fits their current fitness. Participants work with a coach and learn from experienced mentors while building consistency and confidence. Expect practical guidance on running and walking basics, nutrition, gear selection, and injury prevention, plus a supportive community that keeps you moving. Those starting out or returning to activity can choose the Beginner 5K track, which uses progressive walk and run intervals to steadily increase stamina so finishing a 5K feels strong and rewarding. Clear pace options help you find the right fit. NB1 is a faster group, generally 11:00 to 12:30 minutes per mile, beginning with 30 seconds running and 1.5 minutes walking, then progressing to 3 minutes running with 1 minute walking by the end. NB2 follows the same progression at a slightly slower pace, about 12:30 to 14:00 minutes per mile. A dedicated walking group moves at roughly 14:00 to 16:00 minutes per mile throughout with no run intervals. The abbreviation mpm means minutes per mile, and shorthand like 30s/1.5 refers to run and walk durations in minutes and seconds. Group workouts meet at Fleet Feet KingsPointe Village and also rotate among Fleet Feet KingsPointe, Broken Arrow, and Cabin Boys Brewery in Downtown Tulsa.

    See details

A high-energy barrel racing series returns with a growing prize pool and a free finals sidepot for riders who qualify through attendance. Anyone can enter any race, there are no nomination fees, and participation builds the Barrel Bank that fuels the finals payout. Riders are their own sponsors, so the more races you make, the larger the sidepot becomes. The series features 16 regular races plus a finals, and competing in at least 12 of those 16 earns eligibility for the free Barrel Bank sidepot at the championship, with one buy-in allowed if completed before racing begins. Indoor events are held at Osage County Fairgrounds and at Crownline Arena, and locations vary by date, so be sure to confirm the arena for each race. Exhibitions are offered in time slots for $5 each, with a $10 office fee per person. Walk, trot and leadline is $10 with a 2 second split, no barn fee and no payback, and everyone receives a prize. The 3D Novice is $25 with a 1 second split, designed for those not yet placing in Youth, Senior or Open due to experience level, horse needs or personal limitations. Walk, trot, leadline and Novice are confidence-building only, do not roll over and do not include a finals sidepot. Peewee competitive 10 and under is a 3D for $25 with a 1 second split and rollover available. Youth 18 and under is 4D for $45 with a half second split and rollover available. Senior 50 and under is 4D for $45 with a half second split and rollover available. Open is 4D for $60 with a half second split, and an optional $5 early draw can place you among the first 25 to run. A portion of entry fees feeds the Barrel Bank, with $5 from Peewee and $10 from Youth, Senior and Open. One hundred percent of the Barrel Bank sidepot pays out at the finals. The finals runs like a regular race, the Barrel Bank sidepot is paid separately to those who qualified by attendance, and payouts follow a 100 percent progressive format under BBR guidelines. Everyone is welcome at the finals, and because no Barrel Bank money is withheld there, the overall payout is higher than at regular races. A sponsor package is available that places a logo on the barrels throughout the series at both Pawhuska and Crownline, with funds due before a logo is applied.

    Fall No Boundaries 5K

Fleet Feet Tulsa - KingsPointe Village (Tulsa, OK), Tulsa · verified Oct 4
    See details

At Fleet Feet Tulsa - KingsPointe Village, this Fall No Boundaries 5K training program presented by Saucony focuses on removing obstacles so goals feel within reach for every runner and walker. As part of Fleet Feet’s nationally recognized No Boundaries program offered at stores nationwide, it emphasizes consistency, confidence, and fitness in a welcoming setting. Participants train with a coach, learn from experienced mentors, connect with an encouraging community, and receive practical guidance on gear selection, nutrition, injury prevention, and the fundamentals of running and walking. Workouts begin as one group and then split into smaller pace-based groups so everyone follows a plan that matches current ability. The beginner 5K option uses run and walk intervals that build gradually, helping participants finish feeling strong and proud. Pace group options include NB1 for faster paces of about 11:00 to 12:30 minutes per mile. This group starts with 30 seconds of running and 1.5 minutes of walking, progressing by the end of the session to intervals of 3 minutes running and 1 minute walking. NB2 follows the same progression at a slightly slower pace of roughly 12:30 to 14:00 minutes per mile. A dedicated walking group maintains a brisk effort around 14:00 to 16:00 minutes per mile without running. The shorthand mpm means minutes per mile, and 30s/1.5 indicates the run and walk durations in minutes and seconds. Workouts take place at Fleet Feet KingsPointe Village. Some Saturday sessions rotate among Fleet Feet KingsPointe, Broken Arrow, and Cabin Boys Brewery in downtown Tulsa.

    Iron & Wine

Guthrie Green, 224 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tulsa
    Free

Iron & Wine brings a free headlining set to Guthrie Green as part of the Off the Cuff Concert Series, marking a stop on the band’s world tour in support of a forthcoming album. Led by singer songwriter Sam Beam, the project is known for intimate writing and a warm blend of indie folk, folk rock, Americana, and lo fi. Opening performances come from folk duo DUG and singer songwriter Ken Pomeroy. DUG, composed of Conor “Lorkin” O’Reilly and Jonny Pickett, draws on both American and Irish folk traditions, weaving banjo and resonator tones with storytelling that balances humor and heart. Signed to Claddagh Records, the duo’s modern folk sound has reached audiences across Ireland, the United States, and Australia. Across eight albums, a host of EPs and singles, and volumes of an Archive Series, Iron & Wine has earned a devoted following with songs that feel cinematic and emotionally rich. The upcoming record, created with the same band behind Light Verse, serves as a companion piece and leans toward earthy textures and tactile detail. Built quickly with a spontaneous spirit, it explores folk rock alongside jazz tinged folk and Tropicalia, with themes of closeness, devotion, and emotional intensity. Guests include I’m With Her, with harmonies from Beam’s daughter, Arden, underscoring a collaborative approach and a deep love of making music. Ken Pomeroy delivers empathetic, rootsy indie folk shaped by Cherokee heritage and a clear soprano that can soothe or cut deep. Her latest album, Cruel Joke on Rounder Records, has drawn attention, and her songs appear on the Twisters soundtrack and Hulu’s Reservation Dogs. Touring highlights include runs with Lukas Nelson, Iron & Wine, and American Aquarium, along with appearances at Newport Folk and Telluride Bluegrass Festivals.
