An open, drop-in gathering for Indigenous creators and crafters to bring their own projects and make alongside others. No registration is required, and there are free kids' activities for JOM youth. This is a potluck, and participants are welcome to bring something tasty to share.

Mr. Ben, a children’s musician from Portland, leads a free singalong for young kids and their grownups at Hostel Cafe. Children can enjoy familiar songs, make new friends, and move around in a friendly cafe setting with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The relaxed, family-focused session is well suited for infants through age five, and no advance RSVP is required. It is also a place where parents and caregivers can connect with local families while children sing and play. Adults can order house-made, locally sourced meals, choose indoor or patio seating, and enjoy beverages on tap during the music. Everyone is welcome, and tips are appreciated.

Hot Summer Nights brings a special spotlight to Thunderbirds and Galaxies at Portland International Raceway, with featured cars showcased beneath the willow trees. Expect a tribute to mid-century design, big vintage power, and classic luxury cruisers. Every show car is invited. Featured builds park in the showcase area under the trees, while all others can display on the main grass field. Spectators can ride a complimentary air-conditioned shuttle that circles between the parking area and the show field. The event features a cruise-in display, food trucks, live music, and drag racing on the track. Admission is $10 for a show car and driver, and $15 for adult spectators, with drag racing access included. Crews and clubs are welcome, and all years and models are encouraged to park on the grass and enjoy the cars, food, and music.

At Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Wild Symphony offers a lively musical journey through the animal kingdom from Dan Brown, the author behind The DaVinci Code. Guided by Maestro Mouse, a friendly lineup of animal characters shares life lessons as the story unfolds. With each introduction, the orchestra performs Dan Brown’s soundtrack while the tale is narrated live on stage. This playful mix of storytelling and music is well suited for young book lovers.
