Little ones can dive into a week of Disney-themed discovery at this preschool camp. Designed for ages 3 to 6, the program journeys across the globe with favorite characters and blends short film moments, games, creative crafts, and lively stories. The fee is $125. Capacity is limited, and children must be potty trained to participate.

Children and teens ages 1 to 18 can receive a no-cost bagged lunch in the park through the North Clackamas Schools Meals Program. Distribution takes place at the top of the amphitheater outside the library, as long as weather allows. This program operates on an equal opportunity basis.

Step into a whimsical tea experience that whisks students from Platform 9 3/4 to the Leaky Teapot. Love potions and perfumes are not allowed on the journey or at the destination. This is a community table gathering with seating in groups of ten, much like meals in the Great Hall. Lessons are scheduled to begin at the top of the hour according to each ticket, and late arrivals may cost a house valuable points. Earn points by arriving in full wizarding attire and by mastering class quizzes. The house with the highest total will see its banner displayed in the tearoom for the year. Tuition is due at the time of registration, and any dietary needs can be shared when submitting the acceptance letter so the house elves can prepare accordingly. Safe travels.

Outdoor storytime brings songs, stories, and action rhymes to the amphitheater in Scott Park, next to the library. Sessions take place on Tuesdays throughout the summer, weather permitting, and are designed for children ages 0 to 5. Bonus Thursday storytimes are also planned.

A summer series at the 1st Street Dining Commons offers a changing selection of free books for readers of every age, with favorites free to take home. Look for beach reads, children’s titles, and unexpected finds, with limited quantities and a refreshed assortment each week. The downtown Beaverton setting pairs well with coffee or lunch from nearby businesses and time with a friend. Hosted by the Beaverton Downtown Association to enliven the Dining Commons and strengthen community.

Start your Cricut journey with a beginner friendly, hands-on session in the makerspace. Learn how the Cricut machine works and get comfortable with Cricut Design Space, then explore features such as cutting and drawing while making simple projects. Capacity and equipment are limited. Eagle Eyes, a tribute to the Eagles, performs at an evening of live music and dancing hosted by Tigard Parks & Rec. Downtown Sounds brings live music, community spirit, and local flavor to the heart of Beaverton as part of a new summer series presented by the Beaverton Downtown Association. This installment features Longshore Drift, an energetic and entertaining act performing in the open-air setting of the 1st Street Dining Commons. The event is free to attend, making it an easy stop after work, a chance to connect with neighbors, or a relaxed evening out while taking in local sounds at a popular downtown gathering spot. The series continues throughout the summer at the same venue, highlighting a variety of local musicians and celebrating Beaverton’s creative community.

Part of a summer concert series, Shoot To Thrill brings a full throttle salute to AC/DC. This Portland tribute band channels the Australian rock legends with big guitar riffs, shout along vocals, and lively stage antics delivered with real passion. The set spans both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras, offering a faithful run through fan favorites that capture the spirit of classic hard rock.

Mini Me Day Camp is designed to inspire young kids with a day of movement and creativity. Older dancers step in as big sister mentors to guide campers through the activities. The lineup features fun dances, crafts, and creative games that encourage new friendships, happy memories, and plenty of fun. This one day camp provides three different ways to participate.

Red Yarn brings a high-energy blend of music and puppetry to the summer Performers in the Park series for all ages. The performance is held in the amphitheater outside the library, weather permitting, with sponsorship from the Friends of Ledding Library.

Explore the vibrant world of Oregon’s bees, with more than 500 species to discover. Meet mason, cuckoo, mining, longhorn, and honey bees through hands-on science activities that highlight bugs and pollinators. Children will learn how these small but mighty creatures live and work while taking part in engaging, interactive fun. Designed for grades K through 5. This program will also be offered at the Murray Scholls branch.

Disney’s Newsies brings the real-life 1899 New York newsboys strike to the stage, following Jack Kelly as he rallies a group of young sellers to push back against a publisher’s price increase. The story unfolds through athletic dance numbers and spirited songs, highlighting friendship, determination, and the power of standing together. The musical features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein. It is adapted from the Disney film by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White and was originally produced on Broadway by Disney Theatrical Productions. Performances take place at Deb Fennell Auditorium.
