The 35th annual Adams County Heritage Festival brings the community together at Gettysburg Rec Park to celebrate the county’s diverse cultures through food, music, and art. Initiated by the Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice, this free, public gathering offers plenty to discover along with a lineup of performers on the main stage. Everyone is welcome. Participants can cultivate stability for birth and the early months with a new baby, learn practices that support labor, recovery, and everyday parenting, ease stress while deepening connection with a changing body and baby, and grow confidence and intuition for both preparation and postpartum. The experience also encourages connection with a community of moms at varied points along the journey. No previous yoga experience is required, and all trimesters as well as postpartum mothers are welcome. Instruction is led by Marie Haller. Marie first encountered yoga through college dance classes and has maintained a consistent practice for more than twenty years across diverse styles. While running a birth doula business, she completed training in prenatal and postpartum yoga and has woven that expertise into her work with pregnant and postpartum clients ever since. Her teaching blends strength building for birth and new parenthood with space for breath and mindfulness to navigate the unpredictability of pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Off the mat, she serves as a Perinatal Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Coach with Prospera and works in women’s health at the nonprofit CARE.org, bringing a holistic perinatal perspective to her classes.

Designed for small homeschool groups and families, this farm day blends hands-on learning about pumpkins and popcorn with plenty of outdoor fun. Ride a hay wagon to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin while Farmer Chris explains how they grow. Spend time on attractions such as the corn box, hill slide, pumpkin bowling, bubble bins, and the corn maze, with more activities available. A snack of homemade kettle corn and apple cider or water is included, and participants can bring a bagged lunch to enjoy at the farm. Admission is $10 per person, with children ages 2 and under admitted free. Everyone older than 2 needs a ticket, and tickets are required since none are sold at the gate. Stations can be completed at your own pace, and the event is available on two dates this season. The Barrel Factory will be open with slushies, drinks, and kettle corn for an additional cost.
