    2026 Shine Walk

City Island, Harrisburg · verified Sep 11
    See details

The sixth annual SHINE Walk returns to Harrisburg to raise awareness of child abuse and stand alongside survivors. Community members can participate in person or take part virtually. The event highlights the vital role of Children’s Advocacy Centers, which provide a safe place for young people to be heard, receive support, and begin healing. After the walk, a complimentary gratitude lunch will be available inside the Capitol for those who wish to stay, and ticket orders include an option to indicate attendance so organizers can plan. The day flows from check in to the walk, followed by a press conference at the Capitol, then lunch. Parking guidance points drivers on City Island toward the ballpark area rather than the parking garage, with public parking near the stadium and the Walnut Street Bridge, and a SHINE table with yellow balloons to help guests find the gathering. Supported by sponsors including Mount Nittany Health, CenClear, WellKids by PA Health and Wellness, Andreozzi + Foote, UPMC, Geisinger, Child Maltreatment Solutions Network, Bob’s Discount Furniture, d’Vinci Interactive, and The TRUST Project, the walk centers on a simple purpose, no survivor should have to walk alone.
