Gabriel Sanchez Carpio: Cuero | Appell Arts Fellowship Exhibition

Cuero showcases a body of paintings by Gabriel Sanchez Carpio that consider how Caribbean traditions intermingle within contemporary life shaped by Western influences. Through narrative image making, everyday moments are set in conversation with the spiritual, inviting a dialogue between the ordinary and the mystical. Presented in connection with the Appell Arts Fellowship, the exhibition is part of a program that, along with the Powder Mill Foundation Arts Fellowship, offers eleven-month residencies to recent York College graduates pursuing creative careers. Fellows conclude their terms by sharing the work produced during the residency in an exhibition or other public presentation. An artist talk and an opening reception accompany the show.

Training covers responsible firearm ownership, how to respond to an immediate threat, various shooting stances, defensive shooting techniques, and how different handgun actions function. Participants will work on drawing from concealment, racking the slide, choosing and using holsters, loading and unloading, and establishing an effective grip. This hands-on vegetation maintenance session focuses on caring for the Codorus Creek corridor by manually controlling plant growth instead of using herbicides. Participants should wear long pants and shoes with good ankle support, and bring a water bottle. Work does not take place in wet or rainy conditions, and any weather-related make-up dates are shared on social media. July PACK9 Event

PACK9 brings its July monthly event to Ciocca Subaru of York with meet and greets featuring adoptable dogs. The list of attending dogs will be shared the weekend before and updated each day as meetings take place leading up to the event. To adopt through PACK9, a pre-approved application is required, and every member of the household, including people and resident dogs, must be present to meet a potential new family member. Applications are available on the organization’s website. The event is open to the public, and pre-approval is only needed to adopt, not to meet the dogs. Part of a four event SORRCA summer series, this competition takes place at White Rose Hobbies, LLC. Classes will be announced, with likely options including Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, and TRX4 Sport. Scoring follows SORRCA guidelines, and judging is a shared effort among participants, with experienced help available for anyone who prefers guidance. Each SORRCA course runs 8 minutes and each WRCCA course runs 6 minutes, with three courses per class. All trucks must pass tech inspection before entering a course. Entry fees are $25.00 for one class, $45.00 for two, $55.00 for three, and $65.00 for four to five classes. The crawler course will be closed on the Friday before each event. 24th Annual New Visions Holistic Expo

Now in its 24th year, the New Visions Holistic Expo gathers a welcoming community at York Expo Center, Memorial Hall East in York, Pennsylvania to explore wellness, purpose, awareness, and meaningful connection. The featured keynote guest is Susan Grau, an internationally recognized evidential medium, spiritual teacher, certified hypnotherapist, grief specialist, and Doctor of Divinity. Author of Infinite Life, Infinite Lessons, she brings decades of experience informed by a profound childhood near-death experience, with a focus on healing, intuition, consciousness, grief, and the continuity of life. In addition to her keynote, she leads two special offerings, including a Past Life Regression Experience and an Infinite Life, Infinite Lessons workshop. Optional premium workshops require an additional ticket and have limited capacity, with opportunities to learn from guest authors and presenters. 2026 TXRH PA Motorcycle Ride Benefitting Homes for Our Troops

Texas Roadhouse in York and Hanover hosts the annual Homes for Our Troops Motorcycle Ride, supporting Homes for Our Troops and its mission to build specially adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 combat veterans. Participants can register in advance or sign up on site. The day begins at Texas Roadhouse in York with check-in and breakfast, followed by a group ride to Hanover Bowling Centre, Inc., where an outdoor vendor market, barbecue lunch, live music, raffles, and other activities await. Pricing is $20 for a single rider, $20 for a passenger, and $20 for non-riders. Every dollar raised is donated to Homes for Our Troops.

Now in its tenth year, the Mel Markey Memorial Golf Benefit at Heritage Hills Golf Resort honors Mel Markey, a dedicated volunteer who devoted many hours to supporting The Lehman Crisis Nursery through projects and maintenance at the Center. This charitable golf event celebrates his legacy while raising funds for The Children's Aid Society.

Sounds of Summer: Flamin' Dick & The Hot Rods

Flamin' Dick & The Hot Rods deliver a rock and roll party filled with hits from the 1950s and 1960s, performed with the energy and spirit of the original artists. Food trucks are slated to include Brickers Famous Fries, Lickity Split Treats, Premium Shaved, Food Adventures, and Don Boli's, though the vendor lineup may change without notice.

Columbiana Wrestling Golf Outing

Enjoy a golf scramble at Valley Golf Club in support of Columbiana Clippers Youth Wrestling. Teams of four can register for 30 dollars per golfer or 120 dollars per team. Registration covers greens fees and a riding cart, and includes food and beverages. Prizes will be awarded, and there will be corn hole and other activities throughout the event. York Revolution vs. High Point Rockers

The York Revolution face the High Point Rockers with a full slate of family-friendly extras. Cartoon Palooza features appearances from cartoon characters, and the first 500 kids receive a Revs Bryson plush courtesy of D.F. Stauffer’s Biscuit Company. Captain Bob’s Crab Feast is part of the festivities. Sunday Funday, presented by Weis Markets, includes a pregame autograph session with select Revolution players and coaches, a chance to play catch on the field before the game, and kids can run the bases after the game. Rookie Revs, presented by Northern Central Railway, features a player meet and greet. The homestand is sponsored by YCVO.

3 Day Scrapbooking Event! York, Pa

Enjoy three creative days at Wyndham Garden York in York, Pennsylvania, filled with hands-on scrapbooking, learning, and prizes. Over the course of the weekend you will complete twenty eight 12 by 12 pages and four mini projects, receive a tote bag with thank you gifts, and work with a 3 ring 12 by 12 scrapbook album. Friday features make and take activities followed by a lively crop party. Saturday is dedicated to finishing a complete 20 page 12 by 12 album, with a catered lunch included. Sunday offers classes throughout the day. The schedule also includes two evening crop sessions, several additional make and take opportunities, creative contests, and lots of giveaways at each crop party. There are many chances to win, with prizes valued in the thousands awarded at each event. Learn new paper crafting techniques and meet the owners, designers, and teachers. A $50 deposit secures a spot, the total cost is $359, and payment plans are available.

2026 Central PA Vegan Potluck Picnic

A relaxed potluck picnic brings the Central PA plant-based community together at York Township Park. Share food that contains no animal products, connect with local vegans and vegetarians, and unwind in the pavilion. Look for the vegan flag at the second pavilion by the playground, not the one down the hill. A limited amount of vegan pizza will be available early, while supplies last. Casual activities are part of the fun, with options like badminton, disc golf, kickball, wiffle ball, and board games, and guests are welcome to bring their own games or gear. Kids, companion animals, and non-veg friends are encouraged to attend, and all food should be completely free of animal products.

2026 Iron Chef

The annual Iron Chef competition brings together an evening of guest speakers, auctions, refreshments, and plenty of food, all in support of the York County Food Bank and its goal of a Hunger-Free York. Four top chefs from across York County craft three-course menus using staple ingredients from the Food Bank. Attendees sample each menu and vote to decide who earns the Iron Chef title.

Ritmo de York meets the Long Island Ducks in a matchup that highlights Latin Heritage Month with Ritmo de York presented by TEC Centro. WellSpan Sports Medicine Silver Sluggers is also featured as part of the experience.

York Revolution vs. Long Island Ducks

York takes on Long Island with a lineup of promotions for people and pups. Bark in the Park welcomes well-behaved dogs, and the Woof Pack can trot the bases after the game. The event also features two jersey auctions, including one tied to York rescues presented by the York County SPCA and a YCSPCA Bark in the Park jersey auction. It is part of Winning Wednesday, presented by the PA Lottery, where a Revolution win earns attendees a complimentary ticket to the next Wednesday home game. There will be no live cannon.

Greener Codorus Initiative

Pitch in on vegetation maintenance along Codorus Creek at Foundry Park On The Codorus. For the last 11 years, this effort has reduced the use of harmful herbicides in downtown York by manually managing plant growth, helping keep the creek banks green. Tools and safety gear are provided. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes with good ankle support, and bring a water bottle. Skip this activity if conditions are wet or raining since the work cannot be done when it is wet. Make-up dates and updates will be shared on social media as needed. All volunteer hours count toward required community service obligations, and confirmation letters can be provided. Bring a friend for a cause-minded workout. The group meets at the Foundry Plaza Codorus Boat Basin.

Set in the Ballroom of the Roses at Wyndham Garden York, this sports card and trading card game show features more than 50 tables. Admission is free, and vendor tables are available. Food is provided by FenderZ Grill and Pub, and hotel accommodations are available.
