Led by Janice Quest, head of the Wellness Department at Leg Up Farmers Market, the class draws on her training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Graff Academy of Health Sciences, along with more than 30 years of experience in Eastern wellness practices. Since 2007 she has supported clients in food, movement, and lifestyle wellness. Participants learn practical ways to create flavorful dishes without heat, build balanced plates from fresh ingredients, use herbs as the foundation for taste, transform simple ingredients into refreshing meals to share, and prepare make-ahead components for everyday use. The focus is technique, balance, and simplicity. The class takes place during the Wellness Department’s RAW Reset, and participation in the Reset is not required. In this twice-weekly class, Megan provides one-on-one guidance within a group environment. Expect to learn a short portion of the practice with individualized instruction, along with basic breathing and basic movements, with each pose adapted to you and your body. This beginner friendly Kundalini Yoga class is available both online and in person and introduces foundational practices designed to refresh the nervous system, elevate energy, and cultivate a sense of inner calm. The approach goes beyond simple stretches by working with movement and awareness through kriyas, sequences of postures, mudras, mantra, and breathwork that can support goals such as easing stress or sparking creativity. Participants can expect guidance that emphasizes individual alignment for healthy spinal curvature and reduced strain, along with gentle options to support comfort. The practice aims to help regulate stress and anxiety, build resilience, boost vitality, improve spinal flexibility and core strength, and deepen mind body awareness to recognize and address imbalances. Participants may register on their own or with a team, dedicate their walk in honor or memory of someone, gather pledges and donations, partner as event sponsors, or volunteer during the walk. Expect an autumn-inspired setting with a community route, along with sponsor and resource tables to explore. All proceeds directly fund transportation assistance programs through Accessible Care Transport, Inc., strengthening reliable access to care across the community.

Created in memory of a beloved Shih Tzu named Zoey, it has grown into a tradition that brings pet lovers together to celebrate the bond they share and support animals in crisis.
