Welcome the sunrise with a fitness-focused group hike designed for teens and adults. This free outing covers more than four miles at a pace faster than 20 minutes per mile to elevate your heart rate while refreshing your mind. The group typically meets at PEC unless noted otherwise. Plans and locations may shift with weather or other circumstances, so registering for updates is important. Participate every week or stop by on the weeks that work for you.

This free weekly Wednesday produce distribution is open to everyone. Identification, registration, and referrals are not required. Please bring a shopping bag to carry your items. While sign up is not needed, letting the organizers know you plan to attend can help with preparation.

Every Thursday, Whitman Library offers a free yoga session led in rotation by Janet Faulls and Anne-Marie Mulgrew. All experience levels are welcome, including those new to yoga. Live and Local, presented by 4333 Collective, brings a free, all ages concert experience to the waterfront at Spruce Street Harbor Park. The Lazy Hammock becomes a relaxed listening spot with hammock lounging, skyline views, and food and drinks on site. Expect a high energy night of live music from a rotating lineup of bands. Performers across the series include Full Body 2, Slingshot Dakota, Horse Jumper of Love, Kevin Devine, Oso Oso, Atta Boy, Wild Pink, Spirit Of The Beehive, WIKI, and Iron Chic, with more shows still to be announced.

PTO brings Kyle Watson to NOTO Philadelphia for a night that pairs global names with hometown energy. Expect opening sets from BORN and Max Muerte, with a closing performance by Kyle Watson. A surprise closer or an extended headliner set is planned and will be announced. Kyle Watson is recognized for inventive sound design, rugged low end, and tightly crafted grooves that balance an underground edge with modern production, built to hit on big systems and in headphones alike. Early tracks such as Watermelons, Moments, and Don’t Talk resonated across dancefloors in the United States and South America, helping him step onto the world stage from his South African roots. He has since released on labels including Catch & Release, Realm, Black Book, and DFTD, with standout cuts like The Afterhours, Magic Carpet, and a remix of Sage The Gemini’s Gas Pedal earning broad support. In 2023 he co-founded No Context Records with his wife, creating a home for innovative, bassline driven house. Backed by tastemakers such as Chris Lake, John Summit, and Gorgon City, his touring has spanned major festivals including EDC, Coachella, Lollapalooza Brazil, and Ultra South Africa, along with headline dates across the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. An evening of salsa and bachata comes to LOVE Park, presented by Dance Republic in collaboration with Siempre Salsa Philly, LOVE Park, Fairmount Park Conservancy, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. The night includes a lesson led by Dance Republic instructors and music by DJ Kevin Ngo. This event is free and open to everyone.

These open Stewardship Saturday gatherings welcome visitors for a hands-on effort to improve wildlife habitat on the Refuge. Participants meet at the Visitor's Center, then work alongside experienced Weed Warriors who teach techniques for removing invasive plants and planting native plants to boost diversity and food sources for wildlife.

The Delaware River Festival brings a full day of free, all-ages experiences to the Camden Waterfront and Penn’s Landing, celebrating the river that connects both shores. Explore live animal encounters and environmental exhibits, get creative with face painting and hands-on crafts, and take part in science activities and games. Paddle Penn’s Landing is available at no cost, and complimentary ferry rides carry visitors across the Delaware River. The Independence Seaport Museum offers free building admission during the festivities. Food trucks and parking are available for purchase. Throughout the event, attendees can discover the wonders of the Delaware River and learn ways to help protect this vital resource.

At Awbury Recreation Center, Let’s Go Outdoors, in partnership with Let’s Go 1-2-3 and supported by a grant from the Women’s Sports Foundation, is launching its first organized archery club for girls ages 11 to 18. The program places a special emphasis on welcoming girls of color and features engaging, confidence-building instruction. There is no cost to participate. Equipment is provided during lessons, with chances to volunteer and snacks available at select sessions. Registration and a virtual orientation are required before taking part.

Community volunteers take a neighborhood walk to share essentials with people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Typical contributions include a backpack or 5 to 10 brown-bag lunches with bottled water, along with travel-size toiletries such as deodorant, toothpaste, and soap. Common lunch choices are turkey or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a small bag of chips. Those who prefer not to do the walk can drop off donations at the starting point, and items are distributed along the route, so comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended. The 5th Annual FELStival 2026 is a free, family-friendly fall celebration at Federation Early Learning Services’ Paley Early Learning Center. Expect a lively afternoon with food trucks, live music, appearances by farm animals, sensory activities, family yoga, children’s games, hands-on projects, and participation from community partners. Guests can also take guided tours of the center to learn about early childhood programs, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K Counts, and Head Start, meet the staff, and explore the classrooms. It offers outdoor fun for all ages, engaging options for young children, and opportunities to connect with the community. Admission is free.

Family Fun Day with PopUpPlay brings hands-on activities to Spruce Street Harbor Park, offering creative crafts and beginner-friendly STEM experiences for children and adults to enjoy together. The program is free, open to the public, and welcomes all ages. Projects are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. This edition features Costume Creation using cardboard and paper bags, inviting families to imagine, build, and create side by side through art and simple engineering challenges.

Settle in for a calming sound bath that encourages deep relaxation and a closer connection with the outdoors. Bring a yoga mat for comfort if you can. There is no fee and no advance registration is required. Participants will meet at the Visitor Center before the session begins.
