For more than a decade, NEPA Scene Open Mic has been a staple of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s creative community at The V-Spot in Scranton, welcoming varied lineups and drawing strong crowds. Due to platform rules around copyrighted music, certain sets may be muted or may not appear in the stream. Participants must be 18 or older. Those who are 18 to 20 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and valid identification is required for both the parent or guardian and the performer. The venue provides a well lit stage, a soundboard, two microphones, two standard instrument cables, and a five piece Mapex house drum kit. Full bands are welcome. Backing tracks can be played from a phone or laptop using the available audio connections to the soundboard. Performers should bring any additional gear they need.
