Gaming Club
Experience fast-paced play and friendly competition in the Tech Studio, a welcoming space for gamers ages 10 to 16. A volunteer leader supports the group and helps build a gaming club community. The studio offers a Nintendo Switch set up for eight players on a large screen, plus a Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and an Xbox 360. There are five custom gaming desktops built for speed and 10 laptops ready for Minecraft and more. Whether teaming up with friends for casual matches or exploring e-sports, the setup is designed for excitement.
Still Blooming: Watercolor with Ellison Strosser
Teens can explore watercolor techniques with local artist Ellison Strosser at the Art Academy of Milton. This session is part of Still Blooming, a survivor art program from Transitions of PA offered in partnership with Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital. The series features eight creative workshops that encourage healing through different art forms. Participation is free, and aside from the pottery offerings, each session may be attended on its own. Art Academy of MiltonDungeons & Dragons
Take part in a tabletop quest at the Bloomsburg Public Library with Dungeons & Dragons designed for both newcomers and seasoned players. Each gathering features a standalone, single-session adventure, while returning participants can continue growing their characters, earn new abilities, and build ongoing stories. Experienced Dungeon Masters lead the table and cultivate a welcoming environment centered on creativity, teamwork, and memorable moments. Core materials are supplied, and participants may bring personal dice and character sheets if preferred. No experience is required. Best suited for ages 12 and older.
Builder Buddies (Formerly Lego Night)

Grief Support Group
Emily Kahn, MSW, leads a free weekly grief support group that offers a caring space for anyone seeking connection, compassionate understanding, and community while navigating loss. As a member of the Bloomsburg Public Library social work team, she brings years of experience guiding people through end-of-life concerns and works to make conversations about death and dying more comfortable. Meetings incorporate bibliotherapy, using books and stories to support mental well-being. The group acknowledges that grief, including anticipatory grief, is individual and complex, with shifting emotions that can feel confusing, surprising, or isolating. It also recognizes the practical hurdles that often follow a loss, such as managing finances, wills, and death certificates, and the reassurance that can come from sharing these experiences with others. The program is secular, and people of any or no faith are welcome to speak from their own perspective. Confidentiality is required, and what is discussed in the group stays in the group. Tai Chi
This mindful, slow moving tai chi session is designed to be approachable for all ages. After gentle warmups, the group practices the Yang Short Form at an easy pace with plenty of repetition. Instruction covers three foundational postures and five core principles, building step by step toward the full sequence that participants can later practice at home. The environment emphasizes safety and support, with a chance to socialize afterward. The session lasts one hour and fifteen minutes, and leaving early is welcome if needed.
Delaware River Run Trek – 2026
The Delaware River Run Trek is a four-day, three-night wilderness canoe trip for middle-school campers entering grades 6 through 8. Campers spend most of their time canoeing on the Delaware River through the Water Gap region, with backcountry camping, evening stargazing, hikes to scenic vistas, and plenty of swimming. The trip also includes chapels, meals, and campfire time focused on building community, awareness, and responsibility through guided group discussions.
Camp SusqueTeen Library Club
Teen Library Club offers a welcoming space for ages 11 to 14 to delve into the humanities, exchange ideas, and help plan upcoming activities. Whether interests lean toward books, history, art, or thoughtful conversations, participants can take the lead, create projects, and help shape the library experience. It is a supportive setting where creativity grows and every voice matters.
La Leche League
A monthly La Leche League meeting at the library offers expectant and new parents a friendly setting to exchange experiences and receive up to date, evidence based guidance on breastfeeding and infant feeding. Each session is led by trained volunteer leaders and is free to attend. Participants can bring questions, talk through challenges, and connect with other parents in a calm, judgment free space. Babies and children are welcome, and no registration is required. These gatherings take place on the first Wednesday of each month. If the library is closed for a holiday, the meeting moves to the following week. A related meeting is also held at McBride Memorial Library on the first Monday of each month. La Leche League is an international nonprofit founded in 1956 that supports, encourages, and educates parents who wish to breastfeed or chestfeed. Through a global network of volunteer leaders and local groups, it offers compassionate, research based help that builds confidence and community.

Summer POUND
Rock a six week summer POUND series that blends high energy cardio with drumming inspired movement. This class welcomes teens and adults, and beginners are especially encouraged. Bring a yoga mat or towel if you want extra comfort, and bring water to stay hydrated. If you prefer to stay off the floor, seating is available. Parking is behind the building, and entry is through the lime green door. Registration is recommended, and cost will be announced.

A new community conversation series at the Bloomsburg Public Library invites people to come together to talk about the week’s news and what is happening in the wider world. The focus is on practicing respectful civic engagement, building relationships, and making new friends. Participants are encouraged to bring openness, curiosity, and humility as everyone works to better understand one another and gain fresh perspectives, with an eye toward renewing healthy public discourse. Each session begins with introductions, then attendees suggest possible topics and vote on what to discuss. A trained facilitator guides the conversation using clear ground rules so different viewpoints can be shared with positive engagement. The aim is not to convince others they are wrong or to reach complete agreement on facts or logic. Instead, the group centers on listening and learning from personal experiences. Ground rules include speaking one at a time, sharing your own perspective, avoiding stereotypes, asking genuine questions rather than gotcha questions, refraining from personal attacks, and keeping phones off.

Set at The Farm in Bloom, this edition of the festival brings more than 14 bands across two stages, including The Amish Outlaws, The Heartstrings, Jenny Grace, LUTM, Last Call Beautiful, and Jon Hayes, along with artists from Nashville, Kalamazoo, and a host of regional and local favorites. The ten acre setting offers space for Nomad RV and tent camping. Beyond the music, there will be a wide selection of food, beverages, and crafts, plus free bounce houses for kids and a full petting zoo. Festivities begin with Campfire Friday and continue the next day with a full slate of performances. Children under 12 are free with an adult. This is a rain or shine event. A reception celebrates the solo exhibition of classically trained painter Lori Sassani. A second-generation artist, she began making art in childhood with guidance from her father, Mark Sassani, alongside steady encouragement from her mother. Museum visits and painting side by side with her father shaped an early foundation that continues to inform her practice. She earned a BFA in painting from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and now lives in Brazil. Working mainly in oil, she focuses on narrative images of everyday life that convey mood and feeling, encouraging viewers to discover layers of meaning in familiar subjects.

Perfect for first timers and those brushing up on the basics, this free beginner-friendly session covers casting and reeling technique, introductory knot tying, and core fishing concepts with practical tips. All fishing gear is provided, and participants will receive a full size Pennsylvania Fish poster to take home. All ages are welcome, and the program is designed to build confidence to head out on the water.
August Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic
This low cost vaccine clinic is by appointment only and offers microchipping for $20, rabies vaccines for $35, and Bordetella vaccines for $12.50. Distemper vaccines are free, thanks to Petco Love. Appointment availability is limited, so schedule by calling 570-322-4646. A $10 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking to help cover the veterinarian’s time in the event of a no show. That deposit is credited to your total at checkout, or refunded if your visit is only for the distemper vaccine.

Centered Earth hosts a hands-on wheel throwing class designed for ages 8 to 15. An instructor begins with a demonstration of the process, then offers step-by-step guidance as each student creates a bowl on the wheel. Finished work remains at the studio for kiln firing and a dip glaze in the color of your choice, with pickup available in about three weeks. The fee includes all necessary materials and firing. Settle into a friendly craft session where the focus is simple... bring whatever you are making and enjoy working in good company. Once known as Knit-Picking, Crafter Hours welcomes all hobbies, not only knitting. Pack your current project, whether it is crochet, embroidery, painting, scrapbooking, journaling, or something entirely different, and spend some unhurried time creating alongside others. This is an informal meetup rather than a class, so there is no instruction and everyone sets their own pace. Beginners and experienced makers are equally welcome. Bubble Bonanza 2026
Bubbles return to the Lewisburg Children’s Museum for a morning of playful foam and hands-on fun for families. After attracting a large turnout last summer, this year brings even more to explore, including a new foam cannon, a dedicated toddler bubble area, giant bubbles, interactive stations with bubble-focused STEAM activities, and creative bubble-themed crafts, along with additional space and activities. Admission is $5 per person ages 2 and up, with tickets available in advance as well as at the door. A bike raffle will be held, offering 2 tickets for $5 or 5 tickets for $10. Refreshments will be available for purchase, with ice pops and bottled water priced at $1 each. Proceeds support the museum’s Count Me In program, which helps ensure access to museum experiences for children and families regardless of financial circumstances. Please note that the museum will be closed during this event, general museum admission is not included, and memberships do not cover entry. Wear clothing and shoes that can get wet and bring a towel for the ride home.

DanceWorks by AmberTapas Plates or Serving Tray at Centered Earth
At Centered Earth, learn hand-building techniques while crafting a functional stoneware serving piece. Choose either two small tapas plates for appetizers or a single larger tray. Make it your own with an assortment of forms and textures, and add optional handles or clay embellishments if you like. After class, pieces remain in the studio to dry, then they are fired, glazed with a dip glaze, and fired again. Pickups are typically available in about three weeks. The cost covers all needed supplies, and capacity is limited.
Centered EarthSummer POUND at YCDI
The POUND workout returns to You Can Do It Dance & Fitness-YCDI for a six week summer session. This high energy class blends full body cardio with the rhythms of drumming and welcomes teens and adults. Newcomers are especially encouraged. If you like extra cushioning, bring a yoga mat or a towel. Chairs are available for anyone who would rather not be on the floor. Remember to bring water to stay hydrated. With care for Fleetwood Mac’s legacy, the show captures the signature sound and spirit, moving from the haunting beauty of Rhiannon and Songbird to the driving energy of Go Your Own Way. Each musician steps into the role of an iconic counterpart, delivering detailed arrangements, rich harmonies, and a presence that feels both true to the originals and refreshingly new. Emergency responders can build practical skills for handling incidents involving mobile food vendors in this free, two-hour course taught through Butler Community College. Led by instructor Dave Braun, the session explores how the food truck industry operates, key permitting and inspection practices, relevant NFPA standards, and typical fuel and auxiliary systems found on these units. Participants review frequent fire causes and hazards, then work through response tactics with a focus on responder safety, hazard recognition, incident management, and fire suppression methods. The Exchange continues its mission of bringing the arts to communities through its monthly blues, Americana, and roots listening series that has run since the summer of 2017. This installment welcomes back Nick Andrew Staver, an American roots and blues singer-songwriter from southern Pennsylvania whose music carries a working class spirit, a robust steel guitar feel, and a warm, nostalgic voice. Over the past decade he has independently released ten albums, including Rust Don’t Shine (2022) and the late-2024 studio album ROOTS, showcasing a fluid blend of folk and blues with vivid lyrics, expressive vocals, and a distinctive guitar touch. His live performances connect personal stories with the wider American experience, often reflecting both the challenges and rewards of small town rural life. At the Weis Center Atrium, Las Áñez takes the stage as twin sisters Juanita and Valentina Áñez Rothmann. This program surveys the breadth of American chamber music, highlighting distinctive voices and styles. A lively rag by William Bolcom brings playful momentum to a quartet, while Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet, a touchstone of the repertoire, pairs soaring lyricism with adventurous harmonies. Bernard Herrmann’s Psycho Suite is heard in its original scoring for strings, translating the tension and shadowed beauty of his iconic film music to the concert hall. The program concludes with Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite, a quintessential portrait of frontier optimism. The late critic Terry Teachout described Appalachian Spring as “probably the greatest piece of classical music by an American.”

Set in the Weis Center Atrium, this concert features Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and guitarist Raul Midón, whose music weaves soul, jazz, Latin, and acoustic styles into a singular voice. He has been blind since birth and is renowned for creating the impact of a full ensemble with only his guitar and vocals, a skill praised by The New York Times. His breakthrough album, State of Mind, produced by Arif Mardin, is marking its twentieth year, a milestone for a recording that helped define his boundary-crossing sound.

An afternoon workshop focuses on English country dance and contra, taught by Gaye Fifer, followed by an evening of contra and English country dancing with Gaye calling. There is a break between sessions for dinner on your own. Gaye is an experienced dancer, teacher, and caller known for straightforward, easy-to-follow instruction, a friendly presence on the microphone, and an emphasis on the shared feeling of being fully present together on the dance floor. She has called dances across the United States and Canada. Admission for the workshop is $10 for adults, $5 for students 17 and older with a valid student ID, and free for ages 16 and under. A combined option for both sessions is available for $20 for adults or $10 for students. Preregistration is required for the workshop and the evening dance so attendance can be managed in line with capacity limits.
Williamsport Exotic Plant Show
In its second fall edition, the Williamsport Exotic Plant Show moves into a new home at the Pajama Factory, spreading across two large rooms on different floors. More than 40 vendors, both local and from across the country, will offer a wide spectrum of plants, from everyday favorites to rare and hard to find varieties. Attendees can connect with experienced plant collectors who are ready to answer questions and help select the right additions for a growing collection or a first plant. Event graphics are by Ludí Dahl. Admission is $2 per person, with children under 12 admitted free when accompanied by an adult, and proceeds support City Alliance Youth Group.

Easy on the eyes and hard on the legs, unPAved of the Susquehanna River Valley celebrates IPAgravel, Incredible PA Gravel, across rewarding forest hills and idyllic farm country in Central Pennsylvania during the fall foliage season. There are multiple ways to take part. Race for Whoopie Pies and cash prizes over four segments of the Full 130-mile course, ride at Pierogi Pace for 40, 50, 70, 100, or even 130 miles at lower prices, make it a SlumberPArty by splitting the route over two days with a sleepover in between, or race through the night on the Big Lick-200. All routes pass super-stocked Aid Stations that are tough to leave, then wrap up with a celebration at the DONEpaved Party. The weekend also features PREpaved festivities, the Lewisburg Fall Festival with FUNpaved Rides, vendors, crafters, and kids’ activities, and the unPAved Film Festival at the historic Campus Theatre.

The Fall Craft Show by Cheers to Chapters is a community market focused on supporting local creators and literacy. This is not a themed event and welcomes vendors of all kinds, from handmade goods and seasonal decor to artisan foods and more. Shoppers can explore early holiday gift ideas, connect with the community, and enjoy raffles and giveaways in a family-friendly setting. The event also supports literacy initiatives, including fundraising for the James V. Brown Library and the ongoing African Library Project, with a portion of proceeds benefiting these efforts. Vendor spaces are $35 and applications are being accepted.

3rd Annual Family Table Gala - Written in the Stars
At Bald Birds Brewing Company, Dwell presents its third annual fundraising gala focused on awareness and support for vulnerable children in Central Pennsylvania and the families who care for them. Dwell serves foster, adoptive, and kinship communities through programs that strengthen attachment, encourage connection, and offer wraparound help. Initiatives include the Hope Chest Foster Closet, a Foster Care Package program, parent support groups, trauma-informed training, Made to Celebrate!, and adoption assistance grants. Ori: An Exploration of Brazilian Dance and Music (World Music & Dance) - FREE
Bucknell University Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance Jaruam Xavier presents a stage work that blends the driving rhythms of samba and the nimble flow of capoeira with contemporary movement. Grounded steps, circular pathways, and shared energy power a tribute to Brazilian heritage, reshaping traditional forms for a modern setting. The performance features guitarist Luiz Barcellos, a lecturer with Penn State University. Admission is free and no tickets are required.
Northern Lights Stained Glass Class
At Wildberry Studios in Downtown Williamsport, participants will create a Northern Lights inspired stained glass panel. The project uses a copper foil overlay technique to shape trees and mountain silhouettes and results in a finished piece measuring about 9 by 5 inches. A hanging chain is included, and the artwork goes home the same day. No prior experience is required, as all materials and guided instruction are provided. The class is for adults 18 and older, and the fee is $80.

The Exchange’s long-running Blues, Americana, and Roots Listening Room continues its mission to share the arts across the region with a special return appearance by guitarist, singer, and songwriter Brooks Williams in Bloomsburg. Cambridge UK based and born in Statesboro, Georgia, Williams has been a force on the acoustic scene for more than three decades. His playing moves fluidly among folk, blues, and country with the agility of a jazz musician, and he is counted among the Top 100 acoustic guitarists. He pairs that virtuosity with vivid storytelling about prospectors, guitar slingers, motorcycle riders, golden palominos, and ne’er do wells, delivered with a warmly inviting voice. After relocating to Boston early on, Williams cut his teeth in New York and New England venues and shared bills with Shawn Colvin, Chris Smither, Rory Block, Leo Kottke, Odetta, Billy Bragg, and Taj Mahal. His debut, North From Statesboro, drew national attention and enduring radio support, including recognition among WUMB-FM’s Top 100 Artists of All-Time. He has since released 31 recordings across labels such as Green Linnet, Solid Air, Signature Sounds, and Reveal, with Work My Claim praised as a defining achievement. His festival résumé spans Newport, Winnipeg, Cropredy, Cambridge, Philadelphia, and Bloomsburg. Collaboration is also central to his work, including duo projects with fiddler Aaron Catlow on Ghost Owl, shortlisted by Fatea for Instrumental Album of the Year, and Ready For The Times, as well as Fortune By Design with banjoist Dan Walsh.
