In its second fall edition, the Williamsport Exotic Plant Show moves into a new home at the Pajama Factory, spreading across two large rooms on different floors. More than 40 vendors, both local and from across the country, will offer a wide spectrum of plants, from everyday favorites to rare and hard to find varieties. Attendees can connect with experienced plant collectors who are ready to answer questions and help select the right additions for a growing collection or a first plant. At the Weis Center Atrium, Bucknell University associate professor of economics Shahram Azhar performs with friend and fellow musician Aqeel Bhatti, a tabla player. Together they blend Urdu and Punjabi poetry and North Indian musical traditions with Western influences. Azhar frames the program as a spiritual arc from birth to death through the Poorya Dhanashri Raaga, allowing sequences of notes to convey feelings of birth, happiness, reassurance, yearning, anxiety, confusion, restoration and deliverance without words. The performance then features a ghazal by the Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib, with the program devoted to a single Raaga system throughout.

Cambridge UK based and born in Statesboro, Georgia, Williams has been a force on the acoustic scene for more than three decades. His playing moves fluidly among folk, blues, and country with the agility of a jazz musician, and he is counted among the Top 100 acoustic guitarists. He pairs that virtuosity with vivid storytelling about prospectors, guitar slingers, motorcycle riders, golden palominos, and ne’er do wells, delivered with a warmly inviting voice. After relocating to Boston early on, Williams cut his teeth in New York and New England venues and shared bills with Shawn Colvin, Chris Smither, Rory Block, Leo Kottke, Odetta, Billy Bragg, and Taj Mahal. A reception celebrates Mischief Night, a Halloween-themed exhibition at The Exchange Gallery inspired by the eve of All Hallows’ Eve, a time known for pranks, parties, and mischief. The show brings together artwork that evokes Mischief Night, Halloween, and fall festivities. Works in any medium, whether 2D or 3D, are accepted as long as they do not exceed the size of the gallery’s front door, and artists of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to participate. An annual parade honoring veterans is organized by the Lycoming County Veteran’s Parade Committee. After taking place in Montgomery last year, the 2026 Veterans Day Parade will be hosted by Hughesville Borough. Participants will gather before the procession begins to recognize the service of veterans.

At the Weis Center Atrium, Maya de Vitry brings a sound that blends folk, indie rock, and Americana into a warm, reflective experience. Raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and now based in Nashville, she draws inspiration from storytellers like John Prine, Gillian Welch, and Townes Van Zandt, as well as the expressive vocal traditions of Bonnie Raitt and Nina Simone. After her early years with the roots trio The Stray Birds, she moved into a solo chapter with the 2019 album Adaptations, earning recognition from Rolling Stone Country, NPR Music, and No Depression. Since then she has cultivated a loyal audience for both her recordings and live performances, with songs that create space for connection.

Set in the Weis Center Atrium, classical guitarist Raphaël Feuillâtre offers a performance marked by expressive insight, brilliant virtuosity, and a repertoire known for its range. Celebrated by audiences and critics as a rising leader on his instrument, he earned first prize at the Guitar Foundation of America competition in 2018 and was named a Classical Revelation in 2021 by the Administration of the Rights of Performing Artists. In 2022 he joined Deutsche Grammophon as an exclusive artist, a rare honor for a guitarist, which led to the single Les Barricades Mystérieuses and his 2023 debut album, Visages Baroque, exploring multiple facets of the Baroque style.

Set in Tiadaghton State Forest, this two-day foot navigation challenge is modeled after Europe’s mountain marathon format. Individuals and teams tackle a 14-hour course on the first day, finishing at the mid-camp called Stockville. Camping gear is transported to the mid-camp so participants can rest, trade stories, and sleep. The second day features a different course with ten hours to make the journey back to the start.

Main Street in Downtown Muncy transforms into a cheerful holiday marketplace as music, lights, and seasonal spirit fill the historic downtown. More than 70 local vendors set up shop alongside live performances and seasonal treats, creating a lively scene of shopping and celebration. Visitors will find a handpicked mix of local makers, food trucks, and artisans, with twinkling displays, family friendly activities, and plenty of places to snap photos along the way. This yearly indoor event spans two of the facility’s courts and offers a comfortable shopping experience in any weather. Browse a wide range of handcrafted goods, including fine art, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, home accents, woodwork, specialty foods, and bath and body items, all created by local talent. The Lewisburg YMCA Café will be open for lunch or a quick snack while you shop. There is no charge for entry or parking, and overflow parking is available behind the building. Shoppers can support small businesses while choosing meaningful, one-of-a-kind gifts for the season. Vendors are selected through a curated process that focuses on handmade, locally created work. Reviews occur monthly, payment is due within 30 days of acceptance, and space in each category is limited to maintain variety, with early payment securing a spot. Resale and commercial vendors are not permitted, and AI-generated art is not allowed. Preference is given to original designs rather than items based on commercially available patterns or stencils. Submissions that use copyrighted images must include proof of licensing. To help prevent scams, note that the market is curated by Sarah Binder of Sincerely Sarah and all payments are handled directly by the Lewisburg YMCA.

The Exchange’s monthly Blues, Americana, and Roots Listening Room brings an intimate concert experience to its storefront art gallery, a series presented since the summer of 2017 to share the arts widely across the region. For this installment, the series welcomes singer and songwriter Arielle Silver to Bloomsburg for the first time. Drawing from the traditions of Laurel Canyon and Greenwich Village, she crafts vivid, empathetic story-songs with roots influences that bridge experiences, people, and places. Born on Florida’s Gulf Coast, raised along the mid-Atlantic, and now based in Los Angeles, she writes with memories of place and time as touchstones, shaped by the folk, country, and rock she once sang alongside her guitar-playing architect father. An ethic of care runs through her work, inviting listeners to consider their connections with others and the more-than-human world. Silver’s songwriting and folk-pop artistry have earned recognition including a Songwriting Award at the South Florida Folk Festival, two finalist placements at the Tucson Folk Festival, second place at the International Acoustic Music Awards, and multiple ASCAP Plus Awards. Singles and official videos from her album Watershed premiered with The Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, and Twangville, and the release spent 18 weeks on the Americana Music Charts. Between tour dates, she teaches Creative Writing at Antioch University, leads classes at her online Bhavana Flow Yoga studio, develops programs with the SONA Foundation to support the wider songwriting community, and previously served as Board President for Folk Alliance Region-West. A $10 donation at the door is requested, and BYOB is permitted.

Central PA Chamber hosts a networking breakfast at Dwell Orphan Care for members, their teams, and prospective members. The program opens with a buffet, continues with a concise presentation, and includes a round where attendees can share a 28 second introduction about their business or organization. Cash & Carry centers on free, half inch thick MDF panels in a variety of shapes and sizes that artists transform however they wish. Painting, drawing, attaching a photograph, or even knitting around the panel are all welcome, since the panel itself is the unifying theme of the show. Once the exhibition is installed, browsing opens for a period before sales begin. To keep the process fair, buyer numbers are handed out at random rather than in arrival order. When purchasing starts, number 1 selects a single piece, followed by number 2, number 3, and so on, with one work per turn during the first pass. After the initial rush, buyers may choose multiple pieces. Payment by check or card is accepted, and purchased artwork goes home right away, which inspires the carry in the name. Most pieces are priced at $30, with $24 going to the artist. A limited number are available at $10, $15, $20, or $50. Artists may choose to donate more or all proceeds to The Exchange.

Christian Sands leads his trio in a dynamic jazz performance that highlights his virtuosic touch and thoughtful approach to the music. A Steinway Artist and five-time Grammy nominee, he engages the full spectrum of the genre, moving from stride, swing, and bebop to progressive ideas, fusion, and the flavors of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban traditions. The program showcases an expansive palette of motifs, textures, and forms, all delivered with restraint, sensitivity, taste, and a deep sense of swing.

Now in its third year, the German Christmas Market, or Weihnachtsmarkt, brings festive cheer to the commuter lot at Lycoming College in Williamsport. The market features more than 40 artisan vendors for holiday shopping and plenty of traditional fare, including bratwurst, schnitzel and pretzels. Signature steins are available and can be filled with German beer or Gluhwein to enjoy by the campfire. Families will find s'mores, games and other activities for children, along with live music, storytime and a tree lighting. Look for dance performances by the Christmas Pyramid, visits from St. Nicholas and Krampus, and appearances by winter princesses. Lantern making leads into a downtown march for the tree lighting. A shuttle connects the market to nearby attractions, with nutcrackers marking the nearest stops. Only two vendor spots remain. Resounding Cymbals Performing Arts presents Miracle on 34th Street at the Divine Providence Hospital Auditorium.
