A free evening of live music at Fretwell Spartanburg features Whistler’s Hustle as part of the Off the Clock Friday series. The performance unfolds on the Fretwell Lawn, providing a laid-back setting to relax with friends or enjoy a family-friendly outing. A wide selection of food and beverages from Little River Cafe will be available to pair with the music. Located just steps from the Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail, Fretwell offers a welcoming outdoor space for community gatherings and cultural events.

Fretwell Spartanburg hosts a free live music performance featuring Wilder Things Than Us. The project took shape around 2012 in Naples, Florida under the name My Girl My Whiskey & Me, a title chosen by founding member George after a life changing encounter with the mandolin and bluegrass through a Rayado Ruffians song. After lineup changes, the band became a duo with George and his wife, Kelly, then moved to Upstate South Carolina to refine a sound that blends Appalachian roots with a wide range of influences. Expect original material and creative covers colored by progressive bluegrass and folk rock, with streaks of jazz, blues, and punk... a fan once nicknamed the mix “Zappalachain.” The outdoor setting at Fretwell, along the Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail, offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all ages that pairs naturally with this genre bending show.

Enjoy a donation-based outdoor yoga session on the lawn at Fretwell. The class welcomes all ages and experience levels and offers an approachable flow in a peaceful green setting. Bring your own yoga mat and get ready for a class that balances challenge with enjoyment. Lisa leads the practice with an inclusive approach. Participation is free, and donations for the instructor are appreciated. It is a friendly way to move, breathe, and connect with the community.
