This event features the Commander format with no entry fee. Games are organized in pods of three to four players, and the MTG Companion app is required to participate. Prize support includes a promotional pack awarded at random to one player in each pod.

Story Thyme offers a free weekly preschool program that blends lively stories, nature discovery, hands-on gardening, crafts, and activities that support young gardeners and their caregivers. Sessions often feature hands-in-the-soil experiences such as seed planting, watering, and harvesting. Though created with preschoolers in mind, participants of all ages, from babies to grandparents, are welcome. Each gathering starts in the Every Child Outdoors (ECO) Garden. Parking is available at the Visitor Center, with a short walk down the hill along the path to the garden.

Enjoy relaxed Magic: The Gathering Commander play in a casual setting. Participation requires the MTG Companion App, and there is no entry fee. Games follow a special guideline in which five full turn cycles must occur before anyone can be eliminated, lands may be destroyed, or a win can be claimed. Pods seat three to four players. For prize support, each pod will randomly award one Promo Pack to a player.

Enjoy a free community pack walk at Victor Ashe Park designed for Spot 4 Dogs alumni and Knoxville dog owners who want to practice calm walking on a loose leash in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. The goal is to help dogs stay relaxed around other dogs and people while building confidence for both handlers and pups. Please bring a standard 4 to 6 foot leash, plenty of rewards such as high value treats or your dog’s regular kibble, water, and poop bags. Retractable leashes are not permitted. This walk is now offered every other week, and an RSVP is requested so trainers can plan for attendance.

Admission is free. Sip a free mocktail, take part in a trivia contest, and browse many booths hosted by area vendors and bookstores.

Board game enthusiasts gather at Good Times GameHouse for the Knoxville Board Game Club. Attendees can bring their own favorites to teach, choose titles from the in-store demo shelf, or jump into games others have brought. The first visit is free. After that, there is a $5 entry that becomes $5 in store credit each week, which can be used for drinks, refreshments, board games, and other items, or saved for later. The club meets on Saturdays, with an additional weekly session on Wednesdays.

First-time pups get complimentary entry to the dog park and beer garden on select Newbie Days, a special offering designed for newcomers. It is a chance to explore the play areas for the first time while people relax with a drink from the bar and watch their dogs romp on the playgrounds and make new friends. Before your initial visit, make sure you have everything required for entry.
