Rebirth Wednesdays - Midweek Ecstatic Dance

Rebirth Wednesdays offers a midweek ecstatic dance rooted in the original Austin approach, keeping things simple and focused on movement. The space is held with clear consent guidelines and boundaries to create an inclusive environment where the body can relax, surrender, and explore a gentle mind-body practice. Show up exactly as you are and move for your own reasons, letting the body lead. As with yoga or meditation, it often feels better afterward, and returning regularly can deepen a sense of safety and ease. A rotating lineup of music facilitators guides full 5Rhythms waves that start in Flowing, crest in Chaos, and settle into Stillness. The arc features an extended warmup of about 60 minutes followed by a main wave lasting roughly 60 to 75 minutes, with an opening circle and a closing circle woven into the experience. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, plan for sweat and bring layers, and carry a water bottle to stay hydrated. Parking is in a gravel lot with signage, then follow the sidewalk toward the front and enter through the first door marked with the circle AEDC logo near the shark mural. Admission is paid at the door for $20, with sliding scale options available.
