Lost Horizon Arena’s Saddle Series continues a tradition that has supported the horse community since 1985 and now begins its 42nd year. The show program features a full slate of speed and pattern events for all ages, including Key Hole, Potato Race, Ring A Pole, Heart Race, Pole Bending, Arena Race, Straightaway Barrels, and Cloverleaf Barrels. Age divisions are 10 and under, 11 to 17, and 18 and over, with Open options offered in Pole Bending and Cloverleaf Barrels. Entry is $10 per class when signing up the day of the show or $5 per class with advance entry. A $15 ground fee covers the entire series, and a $15 per day hookup charge is available with limited availability. Advance entries are accepted in the week leading up to each show through the show office at the reduced rate. Please ensure you receive confirmation, and note that show rules will be posted. To qualify for awards, riders must attend 7 of the 11 shows, and a show counts when at least three classes are entered. Every class awards plaques for first through sixth. Each age group has a High Point at every show, and end of year awards include a saddle to the High Point in each age group, belt buckles for second through sixth place champions, and tack for seventh through tenth. Belt buckles are also awarded to the champions in Barrels and Poles, with eligibility based on a top four times run average that requires at least 12 runs.
