Hosted by Brazos Valley Roller Derby, this Texas 7-on-7 roller derby tournament takes place at the Brazos County Expo Complex. It follows a WFTDA-style ruleset with a few adjustments, featuring 20-minute games with a rolling clock and a four-penalty foul out. The format is double elimination, so every team plays at least two games. Play is gender neutral and for adults only. Skaters may appear on only one roster. Teams select a division and may bring up to nine participants, with seven active skaters and up to two bench coaches in each game. Each team receives one timeout or official review. If a team calls a timeout in the final three minutes and the score is close, the game clock pauses. The clock stops for official timeouts only if they last longer than one minute. The story follows Clara from a joyous family celebration to the shimmering Land of Snow and into the delectable Kingdom of Sweets, where the Nutcracker Prince guides her through an unforgettable adventure. The experience extends beyond the stage. Before the curtain rises, activities include Nutcracker Storytime, the Nutcracker Market, and seasonal melodies performed by a live string quartet.
