    Sunday Seawinds Fighter Practice 2026

    Sunday fighter practice takes place at West Guth Park, with a small blue and yellow Seawinds seashell banner marking the meetup area. On the first Sunday of each month the gathering shifts to Cole Park, and there are also Wednesday sessions at East Cliff Park. Practices depend on the weather, and updates about any changes to timing or location will be announced. Spectators are welcome and participation is free. Adults 18 and older who want to try it can use loaner gear after signing a waiver, and help is available to get suited up. Youth combat is offered for ages 6 to 17 using foam padded weapons. Participants ages 16 and 17 may be approved on a case by case basis to use the same equipment as adults. Loaner gear for youth is available, participation is free, and a parent or legal guardian must be present at all times and sign the waiver. Questions about practices or SCA fighting can be directed to the Knight Marshal or Rapier Marshal. COVID precautions are encouraged. The Shire does not provide food or drink other than bottled water, so attendees may bring their own and share if they choose at their own risk. While the organization follows all applicable laws for health and safety, in person activities still carry a risk of exposure to infectious diseases. By participating, individuals acknowledge this possibility and agree to take the steps they feel are needed to protect themselves and those in their care.
