At the MLK Back to School Drive-Thru Festival, students of every age and their families can pick up free backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials to start the year ready. The event is held at the MLK, Jr. Community Center and operates as a drive-through distribution, and children must be in the vehicle to receive items. To keep everything running smoothly, there is a limit of two families per car and up to four children per family. No advance registration is needed to attend or receive supplies, and items are handed out in the order that cars arrive. Community members, organizations, and businesses interested in supporting the effort can register to participate as Community Partners.
