The festivities begin with a color fun run that weaves in obstacle challenges, then continue with post-run games, a live DJ, community booths, vendor giveaways, and a school supply giveaway while supplies last. Gabby’s Auto Car Show showcases custom and classic vehicles, highlights local car enthusiasts, and features small business pop-up vendors in a welcoming setting for all ages. Raffle drawings add to the fun with prizes that include a twin mattress set for one girl and another for one boy, plus Bubba’s Restaurant “2 Dine for 1” gift certificates. Winners must be present to claim prizes. Cool off with shaved ice from Sno Time Shaved Ice and enjoy a celebration filled with fitness, cars, music, giveaways, and community connections.

At Vanston Swimming Pool, dogs of every size have dedicated splash time. The shallow area, swim lanes and the diving board are open for four-legged fun, with lots of tennis balls in the water for fetching. Owners may get in the pool with their pets. Festivities include a pet swimsuit contest, a dog paddle race and diving challenges with prizes. Pricing for residents is $5 for one dog with an owner and $2 for each additional dog or spectator. Non-residents pay $8 for one dog with an owner and $4 for each additional dog or spectator. Each dog must be accompanied by someone 16 or older, and paper vaccination certificates are required for entry. Pre-registration is available.

The Gomez Western Wear Arena hosts an evening designed for all ages, blending fast-paced competition with a welcoming atmosphere. The Mesquite Championship Rodeo comes back to Mesquite Arena with a full slate of bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, and roping. The competition moves quickly as skilled contestants make split-second choices that can shape the results. Each ride has its own story, offering a continuous showcase of rodeo skill and unpredictability.

Exhibitions take place first, followed by the start of the barrel racing series. The arena surface has been refreshed with new dirt, creating solid footing for quick runs. Food and beverages are available inside at Rodeo City Provisions throughout the evening. To respect the facility and preserve the opportunity to host the series here, outside alcoholic drinks and glass bottles are not allowed on the property, and anyone in violation will be required to leave.
