    Organ Rededication Concert

Beaumont · St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Ave

    Free

St. Mark’s Beaumont presents a free rededication recital celebrating the newly restored Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1391 pipe organ, featuring renowned concert and church musician Robert McCormick. This event marks the instrument’s return to full voice and offers an opportunity to hear McCormick’s artistry in performance and improvisation. Praised by major publications for exceptional skill and musical insight, McCormick has appeared as a soloist in cities across the United States and has performed and led workshops for the American Guild of Organists, the Association of Anglican Musicians, the Royal School of Church Music in America, and Westminster Choir College. His recording from St. Paul’s, K Street, We Sing of God, was released on the Pro Organo label and drew favorable critical notice. He serves as Director of Music and Organist at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia, following earlier posts in Rosemont and Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City. He is a graduate of Westminster Choir College, studied with McNeil Robinson and Robert Carwithen, and is represented in North America by Phillip Truckenbrod Concert Artists, LLC. The restoration recognizes the craftsmanship of Stephen L. Emery, Incorporated of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, with essential consulting by Jonathan Ambrosino on project design, pipe voicing, and console details. Appreciation is also expressed to the St. Mark’s Foundation, donors, and area foundations for their support, noted by Organist-Choirmaster Jordan Williams.
