Kids Beginning Sew and Stitch with Miss Sarah
Kids ages 7 to 18 can dive into a six week summer sewing and stitching series with Miss Sarah. Participants explore both machine sewing and hand stitching, beginning with embroidery hoop exercises to practice threading a needle and the running stitch, then moving to a sewing machine practice sheet to learn presser foot control, turning corners, and building confidence. After the basics, students choose from two beginner friendly projects, such as a pencil roll or a drawstring bag, and work at their own pace with guidance. All supplies are included. Expect a friendly studio atmosphere where JoJo, the studio’s working feline, may stop by for inspections and a few pets. Classes are held on the second floor. There is no elevator, and teacher assistance is available for anyone who needs help with the stairs.

Local Yocal BBQ & GrillOpen Mic Night
Fresh faces and fresh material take the stage at The Comedy Arena as comics try out new jokes in a loose, anything-goes open mic. No two shows are alike. Some performers are stepping up for the very first time, while others are sharpening brand-new bits before bigger audiences. Expect surprises, big laughs, a touch of chaos, and the buzz of watching comedy take shape right in front of you. Whether you plan to grab the mic or settle in with a drink and watch, it is an unpredictable night where you never know who might drop in or what could unfold next.
