The lineup features national headliners that include comic creators, film and television personalities, and professional cosplay groups. A full-scale cosplay contest is planned, and there may also be live interactive sponsored activities and panels. Cosplay is encouraged. All ages are welcome and no ID is required to enter. Venue policies include no outside food or drinks, while personal cameras and backpacks are allowed. For safety, sharp, projectile, or otherwise dangerous cosplay props are not permitted. Parking in the garage is free throughout the weekend, though spaces can fill early, and some hotels may offer shuttle options. Advance tickets are available and cost less than purchasing at the door. The first session builds a foundation of safety and introduces a Jungian perspective on the shadow, including both challenging and “golden” aspects. You will practice methods such as tracking triggers, tuning into body signals, and using structured dialogue to meet the parts of yourself that need attention. The second session shifts from insight to embodiment, focusing on reclaiming disowned strengths in the golden shadow, engaging in reclamation rituals, and creating a plan to continue the work over time. Open Eyes returns to the Red River Revel’s 50th anniversary for a one-night set at Festival Plaza. Listeners who remember the band from Shreveport in the late 1980s and 1990s will hear the songs that launched them, along with brand-new material. This is the original act on a single stage, not a tribute or a cover show. It is a chance to turn up the volume as OE steps back into the spotlight.

The RAT 1000 is the only continuous mixed surface route that crosses Texas, a fixture on the calendar every year since 2014 and known interchangeably as a race or a ride. It is a flagship ultra endurance gravel challenge that links the piney woods of the east with the high desert of the west, offering an adventure that stretches from Texarkana to Tucumcari. Riders can take it on three ways. The Stage Race is a social, group-based experience with scheduled daily segments and shared overnights, a rolling celebration of grit where camaraderie comes first. The self-supported ITT follows Tour Divide style rules, with live tracking required and no private support unless it is available to the general public, with Trail Angels as the sole exception during Group Depart week. The Mini RAT welcomes anyone who wants a taste of the route without committing to the full distance, allowing participants to ride any portion that fits their schedule. The course evolves as it rolls west. It leaves city streets for gravel and follows the Red River corridor on segments of the Northeast Texas Trail, then opens up across the Cross Timbers near Bonham and Honey Grove, skirting the border by Denison Dam and through the hills around Sherman and Whitesboro on the way to Gainesville. From there it pushes past Lake Arrowhead State Park into ranch country through Henrietta and Electra to Vernon. The Panhandle’s famed red dirt roads lead toward Childress and Turkey, climbing the Caprock Escarpment to reach Silverton. The final stretch crosses the Llano Estacado through towns like Happy and Umbarger, brushes the edge of Amarillo by Cadillac Ranch, then follows historic Route 66 past Vega to finish in Tucumcari under neon lights. Plan for nine days if opting for the Stage Race format, with shared start windows and designated overnight stops, including camping at Lake Arrowhead State Park and a camping-only night in Silverton, before the final push to Tucumcari. Club Spinistry members ride free. A Facebook group hosts lively updates and conversation for those following along. Born in 2014 as a stepping stone toward the Tour Divide, the event initially leaned on state parks and rail trails before moving to a permanent route that prioritizes public roads and the iconic red roads outside Turkey. The distance was standardized to an even 1000 miles in 2017 and the tradition has continued ever since. Safety and stewardship are central. Riders are expected to obey traffic laws, pack out their trash, respect private property, and represent the cycling community well. Violations can result in immediate disqualification.

Front Street TexarkanaPaws in the Park 2026!
Paws in the Park returns to American Legion Post 14 on Cross Lake to celebrate its 10th anniversary, honoring a decade of saving lives, supporting rescues, and bringing the community together. Attendees can connect with more than 15 local animal rescue groups, browse vendors and shopping, enjoy food trucks, and find kid-friendly fun with inflatables. A full service bar, raffle items, and a cake walk add to the festivities, and there will be adoptions and meet and greets with animals. Proceeds support local rescues and help give animals a second chance at life. The event is free and open to the public, and sponsor and vendor opportunities are available.
American Legion Post 14Fall Ball
A social dance gathering hosted by the Washington Vintage Dancers at Providence Fellowship Baptist Church features group dances from the 18th and 19th centuries. No prior dance experience is needed, and the event is family friendly and open to all. Refreshments will be available. Admission is $12 per person or $20 per couple at the door, and children 12 and under attend free. Suggested attire is period clothing or Sunday best. LNKTXK’s 9th annual Destination Downtown, presented by Robbins Toyota, expands across the Downtown Entertainment District with more than 10 stops offering food, drinks, and continuous live entertainment throughout Downtown Texarkana. Eight bands will perform across multiple venues, with country music legend Mark Chesnutt headlining on the Front Street Festival Plaza stage. Known for 14 number one hits, 23 top 10 singles, and over 12 million albums sold, Chesnutt leads a night of country favorites, including songs like "Too Cold at Home," "Bubba Shot the Jukebox," and "Brother Jukebox."
