Family events in Wichita Falls, TX

Studio Saturday at the Kemp Center for the Arts offers a free, drop-in art experience for all ages. All supplies are provided and you can create at your own pace. This program takes place on the second Saturday of every month. No registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Hospice of Wichita Falls hosts its annual Fall Carnival, a family-friendly celebration filled with seasonal activities. Kids can enjoy bounce houses and games, pick up candy, listen to music, and savor hot dogs alongside plenty of fall fun. Attendees are welcome to wear family-friendly costumes and take part in a costume contest where creativity can shine. The event brings the community together for laughter and festive autumn cheer.

Fishy’s Friends Rescue participates in the 7th Annual Park-O-Treat at Elmer Thomas Park by the Patriot Pavilion. Their booth is set up alongside The Nail Waggin and Southwest OK K9 Training Academy, with banners that highlight rescue, nail trimming, and training. Visitors can pick up candy, meet the team, and learn about the rescue while chatting about dogs. Depending on how lively the setting is, some adoptable dogs may attend. If the environment is not the right fit for them, information on available dogs will be provided at the booth. Admission is free.

Designed for ages 0 to 5, this drop-in class offers a welcoming, hands-on environment with creative play, shared art projects, and sensory activities. Children explore, make, and learn alongside a participating adult. Grown-ups are encouraged to work with the kids and offer guidance through each activity. No registration is required. An adult must stay with each child at all times.
