Archer City Writers Workshop offers its Traditional workshop, welcoming writers from almost any genre, including fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, history, features, and even poetry or songwriting. 6x6 ROYGBIV welcomes artists of all experience levels to contribute small, color-focused works for a community exhibition and fundraising auction at the Kemp Center for the Arts. Each donated piece must be an original created within the past three years, measure exactly 6 by 6 inches, and be assigned to a single category among red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, or violet. Accepted media include painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber and textile art, photography, mixed media, and digital artwork created without AI. Up to two submissions per artist are accepted. All works will be offered in a silent auction conducted online to support Arts Council WF programs that enrich galleries, exhibitions, and arts education. The submission deadline has been extended, and entries should be delivered to the Kemp Center for the Arts by the posted cutoff. Throttle Up for Tiny Heroes gathers riders to support local kids and benefit Cook Children's at Copperhead Harley-Davidson’s event. All vehicles are welcome to take part. The day features a standout Hog Drop raffle where firefighters release numbered toy hogs toward a target for a chance to win, with entries priced at $5 each or six for $20. Additional activities include a 50/50 Hog Drop, a bag raffle, and a dice run with payouts for both high and low hands.
