At Elks Lodge, the 26th Annual CSWM Western Swing Fest spans two days of Western Swing. It opens with a jam session with dancing, then continues with a full day of live music. Each participant receives 50 Nexus XP and an event-exclusive promo card while supplies last. Nexus XP can be redeemed throughout the store for options such as booster packs, event entries, and other eligible products, and 50 XP is roughly equal to a booster pack. Commander Party gatherings celebrate the latest Magic set through casual play that adds flavorful rules tied to the theme. A preconstructed deck is not required beforehand. Preconstructed Commander decks are available for purchase, include new-to-Magic cards themed to their set, and are a convenient way to get started. Commander games seat four players, and decks contain 99 cards plus a single commander. Select a legendary creature or artifact as the commander, then build the rest of the deck around its color identity with only one copy of each card other than basic lands. Color identity can come from any part of a card, including its mana cost and any mana symbols in its rules text, and all cards in the deck must use only those symbols. Commanders begin face up in the command zone and can be cast from there for their normal cost plus two additional mana for each previous time they have been cast from the command zone. If a commander would go to the library, hand, graveyard, or exile, it may be returned to the command zone instead. A player who takes 21 or more combat damage from the same commander during the game loses. Multiplayer games are free for all. Each player starts at 40 life, places their commander in the command zone, draws seven cards, and sits at random in a circle with turns proceeding clockwise. During combat, players may attack any opponent and can split attacks, and permanents, spells, and abilities can target any player unless a card states otherwise.

Home For Freedom Marathon
Enjoy camaraderie at the start and finish area as Home For Freedom launches its inaugural marathon experience in support of veterans. Participants can walk or run a full marathon of 26.2 miles, a half marathon of 13.1 miles, or a 5K of 3.1 miles, and every finisher receives a medal and a race shirt. The course follows an out and back design entirely on the Wichita Falls Circle Trail to keep runners away from traffic and make spectating easy. The route spans 6.55 miles per segment, similar to the Hachie 50 format. Half marathoners complete one out and back, full marathoners complete two, and 5K participants use a clearly marked turnaround staffed by volunteers. Awards recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, with additional age group awards for 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. Winners will be recognized during an awards ceremony that includes the announcement of names and finish times. A pre-race spaghetti dinner is planned, and packet pickup will be offered there as well as at another pre-race window, with locations to be announced.
