Feeling stretched thin lately, this two-hour workshop centers on doing less through gentle movement and deeply supported Restorative Yoga. Jan will begin with simple, easeful movements to help you settle into your body, then guide an unhurried sequence of fully supported poses that reduce effort and invite rest. Bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other props are provided so your body can be comfortably supported with minimal strain. With that support, there is space to slow down, notice sensation and breath, and let the practice unfold without trying to make anything happen. A busy mind is welcome. Restorative Yoga is not about forcing relaxation or stopping thoughts, and you will be encouraged to return to steady anchors like the weight of your body on the mat, the support beneath you, and the natural rhythm of your breathing. You will leave with the experience of slowing down and a few simple Restorative Yoga practices to use at home. Registration is limited to 10 participants to allow time for personal attention and individualized support. If getting down to or up from the floor is difficult, cushioned platforms can be reserved so you can lie comfortably in a supported position without going all the way to the floor. Fee is $85, and members receive a 20% discount automatically.
