    Somatic Tango Classes

    132 S 800 W, Salt Lake City · verified Aug 2
    See details

A new series of Somatic Tango classes is beginning, created for dancers who love to move and want to understand what is happening in the body as they dance. If your background is in salsa, swing, ballroom, or any social dance, you likely already know how to learn patterns. These classes shift the focus from asking what the step is to exploring why a partnership can feel effortless with one person and difficult with another. The training investigates how movement organizes through axis, balance, tone, and attention within connection. Instead of starting with choreography, it develops body intelligence. Expect to notice how small internal adjustments can change what happens on the outside. Dancing becomes clearer, heavy moments feel lighter, and connection becomes something you can actively influence rather than guess at. Designed for dancers who value the mechanics of presence as much as steps, this series offers the next layer of learning.
