Millcreek’s 4th Annual Pacific Islander Skate Night brings community, culture, and summer fun to Millcreek Common. This free, family friendly celebration invites all ages to experience the rich traditions, music, and spirit of Utah’s Pacific Islander community through an evening of skating, entertainment, and connection. Enjoy free admission and complimentary skate rentals for the first 1,000 guests. The first 50 guests through the gate receive a personal pizza courtesy of Millcreek Pizza House. Big Buddah hosts the festivities, with live performances by American Idol Top 24 artist Liahona, Vika, A.P., and Ms. Communicated. Watch skate demonstrations and take part in interactive fun with the Skate Loop Legends. Dance to sets from DJ Fuidawg and take in cultural performances by the Malialole Dance Group and Tausala. Family friendly games, activities, and community booths round out the experience. This event is made possible with support from Granite Credit Union, Zumiez, Millcreek Pizza House, and Jump for Autism.

It is not a therapy session, rather a space to find community and meet people who understand the parenting journey. At the historic Chase Home Museum, a free exhibition celebrates four decades of Utah’s folk arts and the living traditions that keep cultural heritage and ancestral memory alive. Organized by the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, it brings together work from artisans across generations and communities, highlighting how these practices continue to thrive today. Explore a range of pieces that include a handcrafted classical guitar, intricately patterned eggs made with wax-resist techniques, Korean ink and folk paintings, Paquimé-inspired pottery formed with Utah clay, Shoshone beadwork and medallions, traditional Puerto Rican festival masks such as Vejigantes and Cabezudos, and hand-twined rag rugs in the style of the Great Depression, along with additional works.
