This inclusive open martial arts championship welcomes practitioners from every tradition and embraces all ages, ranks, and abilities. Competition spans traditional and nontraditional kata, a family kata division, kumite, and weapons, with divisions organized by age, rank, weight, and ability to promote fair matchups. Officiating is conducted by referees and judges certified by the World Karate Federation, the Panamerican Karate Federation, and the National Karate Federation, and all kata and kumite follow WKF and NKF rules. Kancho Masaya Kohama, the world president of Japan’s International Shotokan Shobukan Karate Association, will be present to observe and support athletes. Early pricing sets entry at $85 for one or two events, $10 for each additional event, and $30 for family kata, with spectator admission at $9 and coach passes at $15. Registration includes a competitor gift and one spectator pass. The event also accepts applications from volunteers and certified officials. Hosted at the Utah Military Academy in Lehi, it offers a respectful, diverse setting where competitors can test skills, learn from others, and celebrate the spirit of martial arts.
